If it doesn't make history, it doesn't make sense at this point in Saul "Canelo" Alvarez's career.

The face of boxing will continue his quest to become the first undisputed world super middleweight champion in boxing history Saturday night, when he faces Billy Joe Saunders in a 168-pound unification bout at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Tex. Canelo's WBA (Super), WBC, and The Ring super middleweight titles, along with Saunders' WBO 168-pound title, will be on the line.

The winner will most certainly try to book a fight with IBF champion Caleb Plant to secure undisputed glory at super middleweight.

After winning the WBA (Super) and WBC titles via a dominant unanimous decision over Callum Smith in December, Canelo made Avni Yıldırım's corner throw in the towel after the third round in what felt like nothing more than a one-way sparring session this past February.

Leading up to the bout with Saunders during Cinco de Mayo weekend, Canelo is well aware of the history at hand.

"To win all these titles at 168 pounds," Alvarez says in a promotional clip for the fight, "no Mexican has ever done it."

Meanwhile, Saunders is coming off a lopsided unanimous decision win over Martin Murray in December.

Saunders knows that Canelo is trying to conquer his latest chapter of boxing history and could think of nothing better than to upset those plans and etch his own marks in the annals of the sweet science.

"I'm Billy Joe Saunders and I'm not f—ing afraid of greatness," he says in the same promo video.

Will Canelo inch one step closer to achieving boxing history at 168 pounds or will Saunders put together the best performance of his career for what would be a huge upset?

Here's everything you need to know about Canelo vs. Saunders.

Date: Saturday, May 8
Time: 8 p.m. ET/1 a.m. BS
Main event: 11 p.m. ET/4 a.m. BS
The Canelo vs. Saunders main card launches at 8 p.m. ET/1 a.m. BST, with the headliners expected to make their ring walks at approximately 11 p.m. ET/4 a.m. BST for their highly-anticipated super middleweight championship unification bout.

DAZN (except Mexico)
DAZN is the global live streamer of Canelo vs. Saunders, including the U.S. and UK. DAZN isn't showing the fight in Alvarez's native Mexico, however.

According to Bet MGM as of Monday (May 3), Canelo is listed as a -700 favorite, which means that you'd need to plop down $700 to net $100 with an Alvarez victory. Saunders, on the other hand, is a +400 underdog, which means a $100 bet would land $400 for you if the British fighter could pull off the upset.
