I'm torn, you kind of want the Power Slap OG to become the first Super Heavyweight Champion, but at the same time, this Kalani Vakameilalo guy seems like a tank.

I'm still not convinced the coin flips aren't rigged for betting purposes. They don't even show them publicly.

Not showing them publicly seems like a pretty big miss in terms of the overall production value. Winning the toss is huge. The coin should be flipped on the stage on camera right before the match begins.

Is it me, or Power slap guys try to go back up too quick and they get fights stopped cause of it? They beat the count but since they are still wobbly despite having at least 2 more minutes to take another they still get stopped.

They need to be clear what's "fine" to slap the next round. Usually they are quick to call guys out, which maybe they aren't getting paid enough to let them go. But they need to get more consistent on what they call a stoppage.

In boxing they let guys get a 10 count and if they are standing they are back in. Maybe they're afraid of getting powerslap regulated hard so they pull guys if they don't seem 100%.

I 100% agree, it should be a huge production angle and image the adrenaline/nerves of the competitors depending on how the coin lands. The fact that they don't take advantage of that is what convinces me it's (the coin flip) rigged for betting purposes.

They should honestly do a Slap draw. Each competitor has a Bob in front of them. Wait for the green light, first one to hit their target goes first.

They could modify it to measure slap force as well just for extra stats. Wouldn't be hard to set up tbh

Yeah this reminds me of boxing, if boxing guys beat the count they still get counted to 8 at least, here they have way more time to get back to action, boxers are back taking punches right after, in power slap they have 1 minute + another minute for their own strike then whatever the other guy takes to throw another, with no defense its harder of course, but this is the sport of taking turns at giving the other CTE, boxers often wait the count and they go back up on 10, powerslap guys probably need to use the whole 10 count and go from there, he was in rough shape tho.

The mittens on both of these dudes is crazy. They should show handsize along with reach when they do the tale of the tape

I wish they showed it too. It's weird they don't because they have that stat for most of the guys

first time watchiing. i cant believe bisping is commentating with respect and authority to this shit. i cant believe there are more than one officials to this.

I guess I’m going back to what it used to be. But they are not calling stepping, or flinching. Like they used to.

Oh, they just called a flinch.

Edit. I think they called a flinch. Hearing aids aren’t in, and I was texting my gf.
