But people age differently. And his cognitive decline is impossible to ignore. It's clearly severe. My MIL is about a year younger than him. Yeah she's aging too. She's never looked like he did during that debate.

There's a difference between "Hey he's not as quick as he was 15 years ago, we all slow down as we age" and "Holy f*cking shit what happened to him? Does he know where he is? Why is he standing there with his mouth agape, staring into space?"

People need to face reality, even when it's sad and hard and makes them feel shitty.
Looks like the new line is just “he’s old”. Whatever that means.

Look at this:

Have you ever seen Trump show that kind of reasoning ability or awareness of what's going on at any time in his life?

I just watched Donald Trump be more aware of what was going on for 90 minutes.

Please note I am not saying Trump isn't full of shit or even that I don't find him as the republican nominee to be an absolute disgrace. Merely pointing out that Joe Biden very much appears to be too old to be president and not all there at all times. Hell if you want to say trumps not all there all the time either and is also too old I also respect that position

I don't think it's right wing propaganda. I think you think the same thing and are just playing a game. I wasn't kidding the other day I'm well aware you aren't stupid and I think playing stupid is unbecoming of you.

You wanna argue the democrats have better positions and that's why you are going to vote Biden no matter what I respect that argument. But I'm not buying that you can't see that his age is a factor and that you think it's dishonorable to point it out.

This post sounds like the rantings of an insane person. Legitimately.
Not a single thing you can refute then huh? Negligence, Ineptitude.

Not trying to one up here, but that's as limp wristed a reply as anyone here could have possibly given

Harris was actually polling high at one point. Poor campaigning and people seeing her inability to speak is what sank her campaign. Current Biden can't campaign and can't speak. He's losing in the polls and he's losing all the swing states. This is a disaster for Democrats. How do you see this turning around with the same guy? At least trying someone else gives them a chance. Put someone else out there who can speak clearly and portray a competent choice for president.
I don't remember Harris ever polling well once the campaign got under way and if she did poorly then I doubt she could turn the ship around with four months.

IMO we're stuck with Biden as it makes no sense to replace the incumbent nominee four months out from the election and especially when the opposing side has a much more problematic candidate. If Dems want to win then focus on down ballot elections and issues that hurt the GOP like the rogue SCOTUS.

It's not that it's just that, your post agrees with 95% of what I have said and so it just makes almost no sense at all to me that you're writing the post the way you're writing it. I feel like I'm talking to someone completely out of touch with reality or something. It really came across as crazy to me.

I just watched Donald Trump be more aware of what was going on for 90 minutes.

Watch the interview I sent. From September. Is it Biden at his absolute best? No. But he is sharper and more generally knowledgeable than Trump has ever been.

I didn't say that concerns about Biden's age and health are not legitimate. I said that accusations that he has dementia are insane and, yes, dishonorable. You guys should be able to make a case against him without resorting to that kind of thing. And, again, it happens every time. Clinton also was accused of hiding major medical issues, as well as being a murderer and child sex trafficker, among other ridiculous allegations. Obama was accused of not really being from America and some kind of brainless puppet. Kerry was accused of faking his military service record (even of injuring himself to get a purple heart). There's no fucking honor among you guys. Just explain why we should cut Medicaid/Medicare/SS do nothing about climate change, cut rich people's taxes, etc., if you think those are improvements.

Maybe take a step back here and realize that not everything here is meant to become a pissing contest dude. I am trying to reach out to folks here. You thumbed your nose at me. I don't have *thin skin but your lack of engagement with someone 95% of the way across the bridge deserves a bit more consideration than to be tossed into the fire.

You will find that remaining 5% will be on your tab, not mine

He just repeats sad talking points, I'm legit feeling bad for Jack now. He flat refuses to address that over 40% of REGISTERED DEMOCRATS think Biden unfit for office. He just resorts to the same tired "You guys blah blah blah. It's just GOP propaganda."

He can't fathom it's almost half of his own "side", and over 70% of all registered voters. It's just unfathomable to Jack that HE is actually the fringe loon. Comical but also sad.

He did give better answers but trump answered more assuredly even if he rambled about nonsense. Biden shouldn't have even engaged him in that golf crap. He was the respondent in that scenario and should have just shut him down.

Trump doesn't have to remember stuff because he doesn't care if what he says is true or not. It's an advantage in some settings, for sure.

I've seen plenty of "old and sleepy" people in my lifetime. The only person I vividly remember who did that mouth agape, staring into space thing that Joe was doing the other night was my mother who did in fact have dementia.
Reagan had Alzheimer's in his 2nd term and GHWB was still able to win the subsequent election. It matters more now because we are inundated with social media and have cameras everywhere so it hurts electability a lot more but that's really the main concern with me as I don't think he actually has dementia or anything like that.
Look at the poll @Rob Battisti posted a bit ago (post #2684). It specifically asks about Joe's mental capabilities to serve as POTUS, not to get elected. 41% of registered Dems (HIS OWN PARTY!) don't think him capable. Again, not of getting elected again. Of DOING THE JOB. Take all registered voters and it's over 70%.

I'm not saying you're doing it intentionally like Hack Savage (who's melting down so badly over this he put me on ignore--as he transparently projects his sheer dishonesty onto me and uses that as his excuse to hide from the truth)--but it isn't an honest look to try to spin what people actually think after seeing Joe look like that.

I'm not arguing they should swap in Harris. She's wildly unpopular and would have no shot to win. IMO the Dems are f*cked barring something crazy happening. There's still time for that but it's running out.

This is a an election of choices i want nothing to do with.
I'm sure lots of people are buying into the narrative that he's got dementia or whatever it is but even according to the poll you're citing it seems most Dems do think he's capable of doing the job. Concerns are fair but incredibly overblown and there's no real alternative at the moment so I don't really see any point in focusing so much on it in light of how uniquely unqualified the GOP candidate is. Think about it, if Mitt Romney or Joh McCain had every uttered the phrase "black jobs" that would've been the end of their campaign but the modern GOP is willing to follow Trump into hell if he asked them to. Punishing the GOP for going all in on Trump is important so I am happy to vote for Biden in light of that and Biden's successful track record.

Have you ever had a family member in the early stages of dementia? I hope you haven't but showing a video of him being sharp at certain points kinda supports the argument.
Trump as a political candidate aside, running Biden again is elder abuse. His wife is literally holding him together at points in the public eye. He should be chilling somewhere watching his grandkids run around in the back yard, not leading a country. They are going to need to basically have a contingency plan in place that says he can't actually make any decisions if he is reelected. Trump on the other hand is a little insane, but he is still capbale of making an informed(if poor) decision based on his actual own faculties.

Neither candidate should be the current nominee for either party. Hell they should both be out trying to play golf with each other before having a nap by the pool after they get tired from the first couple holes.

The fact that not only his base but the centrist media judges him on an incredibly generous curve is a massive advantage. He can ramble on about "black jobs" and how Schumer is a Palestinian and everyone just shrugs and moves on. Biden has a senior moment like falling off a bike or slipping on a step and we get countless headlines and tweets.

Biden is blaming jet lag.

Was the debate in a different timezone? Cos that's what jet lag is.
He rested for a week at Camp David, lol
First they said he had a bad cold. Yet after the debate he was at Waffle House shaking hands with people eating.{<BJPeen}
