Media Official scorecard for Figueiredo vs Moreno

- 1st was a 100% Fig.
- 2nd was a toss-up...maybe lean 60/40 Fig/Moreno.
- 3rd was fairly clear for Moreno. Even if not, the point deduction made up for it.
- 4th was 100% Moreno.
- 5th round was largely a nothing burger Moreno started to control the space but threw nothing. I think Fig threw more strikes but I can’t remember. I was too focused on Moreno’s forearm the whole round!
I’d give that one to Fig.

I’m ok with a Draw. The judges tried to fuck it all up by not watching the fight, but the right outcome still won out.

Yeah fig took the fight merely by being the only champ that walks down the challenger and outstrikes him. If jones can win decisions backing up then it was a clear win for fig. Also BS a 100% accidental low kick was deducted a point randomly, despite being the first foul. No one else on the card was deducted a point.
Ref actually had the balls to take a point. Ref should have actually taken a point on the first eye poke, but I'll give him a pass. Then you see Fig put his open palm back on Moreno's face soon there after.

Moreno did not win period. Fig got rounds12 5. On top of that Moreno faced a severely compromised Fig (back to back weight cuts)

Here's my take

The ufc originally had the fix in for the more market friendly Mexican fighter to win. If it went to decision, it was so evident that the plan was for Moreno to get the bogus victory.

Everything was going great, Moreno, despite getting hit with the bigger shots, was competent enough to make it look like a close fight. Rogan was full on shill mode company man, overselling any Moreno contact and underselling (just compare the tones) anything Figuereido did.

Then figgy got carded without even a previous but shot warning. How many times has that happened in mma? 99% of the time you are afforded atleast a warning, no matter how hard the nut shot. Surprisingly not this time though.

But

Round 5 happened, which put them (the fight fixers) in a predicament to have to call off the judges fix at the last moment, calling it a draw because they knew the backlash would've been heavy, the whole mma community would've called them out on corruption. Also they make more money on the rematch.

That Asian judge was the bribed oficial this time.

The odds were so that a figgy victory would've meant a massive payout and bookie losses.

Dana is thinking about announcing the rematch at the post press conference.

This is how their fight racketeering works.
They bribed one judge out of 3? Sounds like a smart investment....

Mad props to both fighters. Certainly a contender for FOTY.

Rd 1: Moreno
Rd 2: Moreno
Rd 3 Figueiredo
Rd 4: Moreno
Rd 5: Figueiredo

I just watched fight back and I scored it to Moreno without the need for the point deduction to matter. First 3 rounds were very hard to call.
