Here's my take
The ufc originally had the fix in for the more market friendly Mexican fighter to win. If it went to decision, it was so evident that the plan was for Moreno to get the bogus victory.
Everything was going great, Moreno, despite getting hit with the bigger shots, was competent enough to make it look like a close fight. Rogan was full on shill mode company man, overselling any Moreno contact and underselling (just compare the tones) anything Figuereido did.
Then figgy got carded without even a previous but shot warning. How many times has that happened in mma? 99% of the time you are afforded atleast a warning, no matter how hard the nut shot. Surprisingly not this time though.
But
Round 5 happened, which put them (the fight fixers) in a predicament to have to call off the judges fix at the last moment, calling it a draw because they knew the backlash would've been heavy, the whole mma community would've called them out on corruption. Also they make more money on the rematch.
That Asian judge was the bribed oficial this time.
The odds were so that a figgy victory would've meant a massive payout and bookie losses.
Dana is thinking about announcing the rematch at the post press conference.
This is how their fight racketeering works.
