No Spoilers Official Resident Evil Village Discussion

Looks like Resident Evil is back in full force.

It seemed like they hit a rough patch for a few years with RE6 and Revelations. But then they released RE7, a flawless Remake of RE2, RE3 and now this which so far looks amazing.

Probably going to cope this one early.

Started in 2015 when REmake HD got released here. And Rev 2 had all that old school love with Barry.

That Maiden demo stunned me. I cannot wait for the final release, just wow. I was shook all the way through, just like the first playthrough of RE7.

Can we just speak about the goddamn lighting? The shadows and the mansion interior were just drop dead gorgeous. Maybe the best looking game to release for the next gen this year.

They absolutely nailed the atmosphere. The sound design is top notch, and the ambiance....wow. They took RE7 and turned it up a notch imo.

I know its a WIP, but camera acceleration should be off by default, that shit made my head dizzy. The camera sensitivity should definitely be higher, and should default with a 7 imo.

However, some of the textures looked right out of PS2 era. I was so confused at how the texture quality early on, but they probably blew their load for the mansion.

I cant wait.

Like the simp memes for vampire ladies lol

I wonder who which dizzy member here would prefer.

Im skeptical, but re7 blew me away
You really don’t stop thinking about me.

At least string together a cohesive sentence if you want to throw stones, numb nuts.

Hahahah. Like a lamb to the slaughter.

Whats wrong with my grammar?

Interesting. I was curious who was leading development as I loved RE2make and was not a fan of RE3make. Capcom's A team taking the lead is good news in my eyes.
Um... but that article says team two was taken off for wanting to stick closer to the source material because people didn't like the re3 remake.

I guess. Just seems weird to be asking if she is being kept in the credits during the announcement of her death. Most people stick to RIP, condolences, etc.
Well I agree with that, just not the second thing you said.

Fair point, but there were plenty of other problems with RE3make aside from not sticking to the source material.

I don't even think sticking to the source material was even a problem in that game tbh.

The zombies werent as good as in RE2, the animations, the gore, and the dismemberment was severely toned down. Nemesis was just straight up inferior to Mr X, which doesnt make sense, since Mr X was basically a prototype for Nemesis in the original.
The game relied more on setpieces than just giving the player aency to explore everywhere like the original.
I could keep mentioning more stuff, but this doesnt mean the game isnt a solid 7.5/8 game on a first playthrough. Its really good, but its hard to not be disappointed by the near perfect RE2make.

I feel like they shouldve waited for the next gen for the remake, if they were constrained by the current gen.
