Cool State of Play. I was not expecting that type of GoW 2D game. I figured I would be stomping around as Kratos.
this was the good news i got out of todayGod Of War trilogy remake ! So epic
Castlevania? Shit, I gotta check this out.Konami is killing it. That segment was the best to me. Octopus game, Silent Hill Townfall, Castlevania, and the new action JRPG.
Haven’t they been that way for a while?Castlevania? Shit, I gotta check this out.
Edit. Man. I hate it, lmao. I feel like the absolute last thing that the world needs right now is another metroidvania. They're everywhere. At least it's not a roguelite, lol. I know I'll never get it, but I would love a new Classicvania game.
Yep. This is just a me problem. The series is mostly Metroidvania now and has been for decades. And people seem pretty happy with that direction. To me, the genre is beyond oversaturated now, to the point that this feels more like following a trend than continuing their legacy. Seeing the 40th anniversary logo with the iconic image of Simon Belmont, I just wish we had gotten anything that resembles that game, in gameplay, aesthetic, or even just a feeling. I'm old. LolHaven’t they been that way for a while?
i know i ever sound like the grinch, but that Castlevania looked far from impressive to meKonami is killing it. That segment was the best to me. Octopus game, Silent Hill Townfall, Castlevania, and the new action JRPG.

Anniversary logo hyped me up and believe the series deserve much better
I mean, i was'nt even much fan of Lords of Shadow, but at least was ambitious
Just give me a full 3D remake of Symphony of the night, made by a big budget japanese team and following this artstyle

or at least make it just with aesthetic change, basically this
but better looking and bit darker
At this point its difficult to get excited about anything in these annual shows.
Practically no release dates announced, just "oh we're working on this."
Including the most interesting announcement ... Remaking the OG GoW trilogy.
'Early Development '
In other words I might as well start making a list of games I'll want to play on the PS6.
It's mid-February. I don't think it's fair to expect every developer to know the exact date they are going to release a game when there's 10 and a half months left in the year. I'm happy we got dates for Beast of Reincarnation, Marvel Tokon, and Darwin's Paradox. There's already an overwhelming amount of games to play, I know more are on the way. To me I'm not bothered if I have to wait until summer to get release dates for fall games like Silent Hill Townfall. At this point its difficult to get excited about anything in these annual shows.
