Grapevine is Wolverine landing 2026. SOP appearance would make sense.

There have been a lot of rumors re next week's SOP, and I hope they are right. There are games we could really use updates on. I think we need some kind of big Showcase where we get 2-4 big announcements, with one being the elephant in the room, Wolverine. FF7 pt.3, Saros gameplay, Pragmata, Intergalactic and maybe Spider-man 3/next R&C if Wolverine isn't given an update. There is a lot to look forward to, but we just don't know enough about these projects lol. I guess this is the downside of AA and AAA games, they take so long to make.
I think one big game will be revealed at Game Awards. Spidey 3 and Ratchet and Clank feel a bit too far off imo. Probably 2028 for ratchet and clank sequel and 2029 for spiderman 3 if I had to guess. Marvel Tokon feels like a guarantee with it being one of the TGS games. Still think Wolverine reveal in Tokon with the Wolverine game in 2026 would be awesome marketing.

Special promotion for Wuchang: Fallen Feathers: 15% off for the next 14 hours.

A firmware update (may be regional) has also been pushed.

Two new features are multi-DualSense pairing across devices and Power Saving, which can now be turned on-off under Settings > System > Power Saver. Minor UI and stability improvements also included.

From Push Square team on Sony now refocusing on PS exclusive hardware and user gameplay experience:

In a world where Microsoft has started releasing its entire portfolio to PS5, many suspect Sony to be following the same path – especially after unexpectedly porting games like Helldivers 2 to Xbox Series X|S and LEGO Horizon Adventures to the Nintendo Switch.

But interestingly, in its latest Corporate Report, the firm has removed “game revenue beyond console” from its list of “strategically emphasised indicators”. While this featured prominently in 2024’s version of the same document, the platform holder now cites the following as key measures...

This aligns with comments the company has made in the past, where it talked about a greater focus on engagement. But it clearly understands that hardware sales are its primary path to monthly active users.

Sony removes multiplatform revenue from its corporate strategic indicators

PlayStation says its strategic focuses are:

🔵 PS5 hardware units sold globally
🔵 PlayStation monthly active users

🔵 Total gameplay hours

Waiting for that announcement be like

I don’t think they usually announce stuff mondays. If they have one I think it must be announced tomorrow for Wednesday. Can’t imagine they want to go at the same time as Tokyo game show because other stuff will be shown off then too

I'm not going to lie, I am getting my clown mask prepared lmao

What’s up with Konami devs and bad PS5 Pro optimization? Just canceled the deluxe edition of silent hill f preorder. Real shame as I was excited about it but paying 80 bucks for a game with performance issues isnt something I can do. Oh well it’s so close to ghost of Yotei maybe it’s for the best.

I said fuck it and kept my preorder. Really isn’t that bad. Think I’m done watching digital foundry. These guys just notice shit that normally doesn’t bother me and may not have even noticed in some cases

State of Play finally announced for tomorrow including an extended look at Saros

Tune in live this Wednesday for more than 35 minutes of reveals and news from developers around the world. We'll share new looks at anticipated third-party and indie titles, plus updates from some of our teams at PlayStation Studios – including an extended look at Saros, Housemarque's mysterious new title arriving next year. Look forward to nearly five minutes of gameplay captured on PS5.

I've been playing MGS Delta which has a ton of complaints and honestly it's no big deal. FF16 was way worse compared to what Delta is doing. Like you said I'm done with DF. I would never describe what I see in Delta as bad performance and if someone asked me about the game I wouldn't even mention the FPS drops because it barely happens and is hard to notice.

FF16 had PS5 problems on release? The only time I even had a slight issue was some slowdown during the big Ifrit vs Bahamut finale

It wasn't a huge issue in FF16 either (for me) but yes in a few places it would have FPS drops in certain towns. I actually don't remember the issue during boss fights. I just used FF16 as an example because even in that game it wasn't really a big deal but I noticed it more than I do in MGS.

It most likely won't happen tomorrow, but I'd really like to see a Horizon 3 announcement.

I’d like H3 something too but no way this soon unless grapevine saying otherwise?

Looking forward to it. I think I'm going to ignore gaming sites and social media tomorrow. There's usually some leaks before the show. Would be nice to be surprised.

Saros being there makes it a must watch for me. I'm going to predict the following games/announcements show up tomorrow.

Marvel Tokon new character reveal (Wolverine?)
Wolverine to end the State of Play
Announcements of October PS Plus games
Announcement of new Sony reward system
Judas update (Feels like forever since we've heard something)
Phantom Blade Zero trailer with release date
Stellar Blade crossover with either Silent Hill f or Resident Evil for October
Sonic Racing Crossworlds DLC trailer
SEGA update on one of the old franchise revivals (taxi driver, jet set radio, golden axe, Streets of Rage)
Street Fighter VI will show off Viper gameplay

These are all my safest best. Will see tomorrow. Besides Saros just want to get one nice surprise at least.

Announcement of new Sony reward system
