Saros looks amazing but that release date sucks. Nioh 3 is better.
Totally different games and Nioh comes out a full month and a half before. Don't really see the issue. Nioh 3 and Resident Evil 9 is the one I'm bummed about.

Go with Saros imo. Crimson Desert had a lot of mixed reception from the early previews. Saros is a much safer bet since it's building on Returnal which is already a stellar game.
I’ve been waiting for Crimson Desert since the first time I saw the trailer. But Returnal is one of my favorite games of all time.

I'm just comparing their release dates. Neither are great for me but I'll have a little more time to enjoy Nioh.

This SoP was delicious (unlike previous) + GoW anniversary DS. Like it. Excited for 2026 journeys. Will get some thread titles updated for release dates.

Armored Core VI went on sale today – 40% off. I never got to play it but goes on sale enough with Sony that I’m shy to buy and it gets added to Plus Catalogue the next month. Always a dice roll, that.

Hades 2 is out of early access and released today!

<DCWhoa>

... but not on Playstation.

<WhitmanDefeat>

The wait continues.

They've had a 50% off sale in the past if you're looking to maximize savings, and like you said the game has been out long enough that it wouldn't be entirely surprising to see it included in the plus catalogue or as a monthly freebie. We've all been burned before lol. I picked it up at 50% off because I wasn't sure I'd like the game, and it ended up being one of my favourite FromSoft offerings. The gameplay is just super tight, and makes you aware of every unintentional button press. I had no clue how many times I accidentally hit L3 while gaming until playing AC6.

AWII? Dang. Getting our money’s worth this year.
Cocoon also looks really fun. It's been on my radar for a while.

Would have been nice if the Alan Wake II dropped along with some TV show news, but one can wish.

Will try that one too. Always appreciate a vouch.

I just beat Sword of the Sea from last month. Pretty nice game(!) but I’m still waiting for Aeturna Noctis to land one of these months.

Dude, Sword of the Sea was really fun. I didn't beat it but I played a few hours and really enjoyed my time with it. It's just got that relaxing aura about it.

Hopefully AN arrives on PS+, that would be cool. Also, be sure to add Nine Sols to the list. I'm only a ways in but I can tell it's going to be a special.

The latter half of SotS blows away the first. Please get back to it when you can. I’m talking Nordic winter + nighttime desertscapes with comets striking the ground around you while scaling structures made of liquid glass.

New Official "Playstation: The First 30 Years" Photography book coming next year (over 400 pages and 5kgs in weight) you can also pre order here: https://readonlymemory.com/pages/playstation-the-first-30-years

For sure, I'm not going to drop it. Stoked to hear it gets even wilder than the first half.

Saros and Wolverine are obvious day one purchases. Can’t believe I’m saying this but going to have to skip Resident Evil 9 at launch. It’s sandwiched between Nioh 3 and Saros. Not like it needs my help. It will outsell both combined. Anyone else in the same boat?
Nothing will stop me from playing a RE game at launch. Especially since this will most likely have a 10-12 hour campaign that can be easily finished in a week.
