Anyone ever play Wolcen on PS?

I remember being interested in this but there was apparently an inventory softlock that bugged gameplay and I backed away. Curious how it plays.
I played it back in 2021 on pc I think … very generic hack n slash… is ok in my book

The team that was spun off from Bungie (aka Gummy Bears team) but still based in Bungie HQ has now been made public:

"Hello, world. It's a delight to meet you, and we're very grateful to be joining PlayStation Studios.

Our studio is headquartered in Bellevue, WA, with team members working both on-site and remotely throughout the U.S. and Canada. We are a team composed not just of industry veterans who have shipped titles like Destiny, Halo, League of Legends, Fortnite, Roblox, and Rec Room, but also industry newcomers with fresh creative perspectives and skills. We are passionate about exceptional action-based gameplay, moment-to-moment game feel, and richly social virtual worlds.

The "LFG" in "teamLFG" stands for "Looking For Group." We are driven by a mission to create games where players can find friendship, community, and belonging. We want our players to feel excited when they log on to discover their teammates already hanging out online. We want our players to recognize familiar names and to make myths and memes out of each other. We want our players to love remembering that one time where they pulled off That Play that changed the whole story of the match. As we say on the team – dat's da good stuff.

We will make immersive multiplayer worlds propelled by action games that players can learn, play, and master for countless hours. We want to build our games with our communities, inviting players to be a part of our development process through early access playtests. It's critical that we stay nimble enough to react to player feedback, not just in our lead-up to launch, but throughout live service as we continue to grow the game and community for years to come.

Our first game is a team-based action game that draws inspiration from fighting games, platformers, MOBAs, life sims, and frog-type games. Players will inhabit a lighthearted, comedic world set in brand-new, mythic, science-fantasy universe. We can't wait to reveal more.

'Til then, we'll do our best! Thanks for reading."

Heard some "insider" say that he's heard a lot more positive things about the game this crew is working on compared to Bungie. I've always enjoyed MOBAs but feel the genre really has room to be improved upon if someone could come up with some unique ideas.

When you werewolves download enhanced games for the Pro, are you installing the PS5 versions or is there a third version to core versions PS4 and PS5?

Sometimes the screens at point of install appear differently for me whether I'm on the app, web, or console store, so I wanted to confirm I'm not overlooking something. I'm also not 100 if there's a difference between a patch like Returnal that Pro-enhances an older title versus a title launching an enhanced version like with upcoming DOOM, for example.

Some quick wonderings from me.

It should just be the PS5 editions.

To add to what Dizzy said each game is a bit different from there once you have the PS5 version. Sometimes you just pick quality mode and that's it. Other games (Dying Light 2) have specific PS5 modes. So you might have to google the game and what mode is considered best for the Pro. It's rare though and most of the time just picking quality is all you need.

Seconded- each game is a bit different.

For instance, Insomniac games will have the standard modes, but then Performance Pro and Fidelity Pro.

I gotta admit, YMMV and I am glad they give options. From what I understand, in most cases the performance pro setting uses Pisser (PSSR) and it can often look just as good or sometimes even better than a fidelity pro mode. Fidelity pro often will not use pisser or upscaling, just a straight resolution bump.

I just went through Stellar Blade and I compared the different options, ended up going with performance pro as it ran smoother and was, IMO, better looking than the max mode. This was because pisser produced softer, cleaner images.

Pisser is built with a machine learning algorithm so it can actually get better over time as new iterations come out, new patches for games, etc.

Nice. What games have you played? WE NEED DETAILS DAMMIT
Right now have played both Jedi: Survivor and Returnal.

I went to download Forbidden West and realised I didn't carry over my 7GB of screengrabs and gameplay clips; this irritated me because my grabs and clips from HFW were epic so I decided to swing back later.

The battleship/station interiors on Survivor are noticeably different – almost 3D, if you know what I mean with the depth produced by lighting, reflection. Returnal's general darkness is an advantage in the Enhanced version when I peer into nooks and crannies or watch the unique flora physics; whereas, that pitchy darkness can be too much in some parts as I remember from vanilla 5.

I'm now very disappointed I'd completed the Drill boss chase + Merrin chain-warping sequence in Survivor just a couple nights before buying the Pro because that was a DELIGHT both on a technical and narrative level. It was the only game that matched or came close to pulling off the boss cinematic-play of Horizon Forbidden West and especially the Burning Shores DLC fight against the Horus Titan. These moments are probably a jaw-dropper on the Pro.

<damn>

There's a solution for that...

Delete your save.

You are welcome.

Peak Kojima incoming:

After 20 hours of DEATH STRANDING 2, I can confidently say Hideo Kojima is set to deliver one of the best games of his career.

The gameplay ideas from DS1 are deeply refined, and Kojima has infused the sequel with huge MGS-like action set pieces that are sure to delight fans.

You can unlock a special fuel tank for your hog in Days Gone Remastered by levelling your rep in Horde Assault. Nice touch:

After all this time, Deacon finally found it.

Reach Reputation Phase 1 in Horde Assault to unlock Sarah’s Gift. Once earned, the special fuel tank can also be equipped in Story mode.

I barely played Survivor on PS5 Pro. Did like half the intro area but man did it look amazing. Just wasn't in the mood for that type of game at the time.

I still have the Horizon DLC to play. It's ready to go just waiting until I'm really in the mood for it.

Bud, 100% get on the HFW expansion. It was cherry on vanilla 5 so Pro, fuhgeddaboudit. I'm jealous you get to experience that for the first time and now I want thoughts from you when you do jump in!

You know, I got HFW at launch- in fact it is the game I got a PS5 for as I loved the original and the previews for this one looked sick.

It didn't disappoint, but that was some time ago. I never got around to buying and playing the DLC, noticed it was on sale this week so I got it.

Booted it up yesterday on the Pro and...

No spoiler but wait until the end. It entered my personal gaming pantheon for greatest all-time cinematic battle. Enjoy!

You bought Midnight Walk, Z?

Game looks mega creative (love the matchstick boom gun) and would like to hear your thoughts at some point.
