I got balatro with my PlayStation star points a few months ago.

It's okay.

It’s a curse, buddy. We all get it. I just spent Star points buying a Bloodborne pin but I think I’ll be getting a game next and if not, then just turn in for PS wallet credit.

Anyone ever play Wolcen on PS?

I remember being interested in this but there was apparently an inventory softlock that bugged gameplay and I backed away. Curious how it plays.

The people who spend time on the net talking about this stuff absolutely do not represent the majority or the average consumer. It is a bubble.

Unless they change/update Helldivers 2. probably won't play it again.

They hype it up to be like your playing a starship troopers movie, but you just get slaughtered almost within a minute even with upgrades.

Oh and the bonus when you buy a warbond you don't even unlock the gear/weapons, you till have to grind it out....

It's a good game. I understand the hype, but you're not wrong.... because it's not an easy game to jump into periodically.

In my experience, I would spend some time playing a few matches, work towards a few upgrades, then come back a few days later only to find lots of things have changed. It became challenging to find players who were at my admittedly low level to team up with, and even some of those players were impatient, didn't want to explore, etc.

In a lot of ways the game is like work. If you don't keep up with the pace you'll fall behind and it isn't as fun.

I’d bought Boltgun at launch but am interested in Balatro after seeing dawgs talk about it. I’ve heard of ARK but don’t know much. Is it a survival, base builder game like Rust?

BTW, you ever pick up V Rising? That got a big update recently.

I haven't but I did see that there was an update. I'm buying less games these days simply because in the past I'd buy too many and there was always pressure to finish one up and move to the next. I'm beating one game at a time now and I find it more immersive this way. I have it on the wish list, I'll probably try picking it up over the summer if there's a big discount. Waiting for it to hit 19.99

Preorders are up for Ghost of Yotei!

Preorders come with a special in-game mask and then an avatar set for your PS profile. My older Nioh franchise preorders came with avatar sets too; cool but not for everyone.

You can also pick up the Deluxe Edition but vanity like armor sets and saddle aside, I reckon the biggest takeaway is early access to a map item to something hidden that’s unlocked otherwise later in game. Interesting.

Feeling Standard Edition right now myself.

AC Mirage is on sale right now in store for 20€ and about the same for Alan Wake 2 and MK1 + Khaos Reigns DLC. Cheap grabs, IMO.

Chrono Trigger remake confirmed! Hype! Apparently the creator of Dragon Quest said it outloud by mistake at a convention lol. Hopefully it’s sooner than later

Anyone on the fence about buying a PS5 Pro better get one ASAP. I don’t see Sony not increasing the price considering Nintendo and Microsoft have already done so. The Xbox Series X 2TB is 729. I’ve got a feeling a pro could go as high as 799 to 849. Hope to be wrong but better safe than sorry

Sucker Punch armor designs were so on point for Tsushima (especially that delicious white endgame set for Jin) that this was my thinking too. I’ll ultimately end up using in-game sets rather than these special sets.

Awesome, I think it will be a worthy investment. Some of my favorite games on the Pro have been FF Rebirth. Stellar Blade, and Forbidden West. I’ve heard Assassins Creed Shadows is a huge upgrade as well. It’s harder for me to tell the differences with games just released within the last few months though since I haven’t played them on the base PS5. A lot of other games coming out this year are pro enhanced too. Lost Soul Aside, Hell is Us, Doom The Dark Ages, Ghost of Yotei to name a few.

Is your TV 120hz or VRR compatible? Do you output audio from your TV via HDMI to your receiver?

If so, I am in the situation, but luckily there is a way to get it to work. You basically need a converter device- it's a small box that you connect directly to your TV and acts as a go between between the receiver and TV, so you can get 120hz and VRR.

Let me see if I can find it..

Jesus Christ why does everything have to release at once. There’s almost nothing in June, July, and most of August and then within a two week span there’s this game, Lost Soul Aside (got delayed to August 29), Shinobi, Hell is Us, and Terminator 2D: No Fate.
