You pick up Days Gone 2.0? Curious how chaotic and fun Horde Assault is.

@Berserker13

I own a Pro. You guys think it’s worth picking up the Days Gone remaster at some point this year? I never played it. I got plenty to play now but in the summer I may need to find a game to play.

Anyone jumped on Expedition 33 yet? I’ve never been one for turn based combat, but man, this one has hooked me. The parry, dodge and jump are great and give the player something to do at practically every turn. Cool story as well.

But, the navigation sucks. No map, easy to get lost or turned around and confusing environments. Definitely feels like a sore spot.

Overall it’s been a unique experience.

I’ve been playing it but also actively avoiding the main thread because there may be spoilers. There not being a map makes sense given that you are in uncharted territory. Yeah it is a bit easy to get turned around though. Getting the platinum is going to fucking suck if it requires finding everything because a lot of pathways look the same. I’ll play it for the story and not stress myself over the platinum. Only annoyance besides that is how many pictos there seems to be. Sometimes get tired of managing them between characters until everyone in the party masters each one. Complaints aside I do love it. Music, story, and gameplay far outweigh those two things that are only minor annoyances.

Nope, looks like you need the Pro to really get any gain from it. I'm not paying 50$ for horde assault mode
Should only be 10 USD. The upgrade path is offered page bottom-right from your home carousel when you’ve the game selected,

The game is cool and opposite to most titles: starts weak but gets better and better. I think you’ll like it. The horde is uniquely done and very tense, atmospheric to be around. Good biker outlaw score too with heaps of find-your-way exploration. A lot of players want a sequel, me included.

It's probably got the best graphics of any game on console

I think they may be trying to showcase the PS5 Pro's potential

Sucker Punch co-creative directors explain nonlinear campaign for Ghost of Yotei here, courtesy of VGC team.

The game will see the player hunt down the Yotei Six, a group of warriors that have caused death and destruction across Japan. As the player hunts them down, a sash worn by the protagonist, Atsu, will display the names of the Yotei Six that she is pursuing.

Fox and Cornell visited the game’s setting, which today is known as the prefecture of Hokkaido, to research the game.

“We have received cooperation from various advisors regarding the depiction of the Ainu people and Ainu culture of the time,” said Fox. “Like with the previous game, we have also thoroughly researched Japanese culture and incorporated it into this project.”

Cornell concurred, saying, “I also went to Hokkaido to research Ainu culture, and had people knowledgeable about Ainu culture introduce me to museums and folk crafts, which I incorporated into the worldview of this work. By the way, I also went to the mountains with them and had the experience of picking wild vegetables.”

Players will be able to approach the Yotei six in any order, and the game will also introduce new close combat weaponry. Both Japanese cinema and Western dramas have inspired the game.

“In terms of an open-world adventure, Ghost of Yotei has the greatest freedom and biggest map of any open-world game we have ever made,” Fox told Famitsu.

Biggest map is kind of insane. I thought the first one was huge. I wonder if some bosses will be harder than others if you take them on early. Stuff like that always makes me wonder how they’ll balance it. Hopefully the story is still good because an open approach like this can potentially harm the narrative. Feels great to be excited about a first party Sony game again since I’m not really into shooters and death stranding wasn’t for me.

Great points on the risks of nonlinear storytelling. Just got to have faith SP will weave as memorable a tale as they previously had. I’m super excited, too. Signature Sony masterwork incoming.

I think it will be fine for the level of story telling sucker punch does. Their games never really have a story that is top tier. It's always good enough to keep you going and interested in the plot which is all I need really.

I will say though the ending of GOT is still one of my favorite endings in video game history. I just rewatched it and I still got chills.

Wonder if it will be like old MegaMan, where you defeat a boss, who then drops something to help you against another, to make which boss you choose more interesting
