Which Sony title are you most looking forward to?

Exclusivity wasn’t a poll criterion; rather, it’s a question for PS owners specifically to see what others are looking forward to playing. Sony had a hand be it production, resource, or otherwise in every poll entrant and that being the qualifier. It’s all in good fun, peerage.

Lost Soul Aside is a great rec and will add but haven’t seen anyone talking Tokon. Thanks.

I like your top three. Very nice. Coming off bar-raiser that was Returnal, SAROS was tempting for me but nothing ultimately outdoing PBØ anticipation.
Only reason I picked SAROS is because I'm a Marque simp.

I've got a good feeling this game is going to be fantastic. Cant wait to see the new footage.
Yeah I think it has the most potential out of all the Chinese games currently in development. Wukong is the only major AAA game to come out of China recently that we can compare it with and I thought it was just okay..... played the trial and didn't vibe with it. Loving the music in this and the combat feels faster and has more impact.

The other Chinese game that I'm really hyped about is Tides of Annihilation. It will be interesting to see a Chinese take on Arthurian legend. Rumored trailer for Gamescom. Will be nice to see trailers for both games in the next couple of months.

We need PS5 versions of Resogun and Nex Machina. I'm really hoping they update them at some point. My two favorite games besides Returnal. I love the gameplay first attitude. Hope they never change.

I picked up Nex Machina but haven't dived too deep into it.

For a county so into video games, I'm surprised it's taken this long to catch up. Obviously there's some cultural aspects to it, but it seems like a market they would try to capture.

You know that feeling when you are just trying to have a
good night playing games, and your controller with the LEAST amount
of drift problems starts fucking up.

That was yesterday.
It then renders the game unplayable.
Thanks Sony.

Just downloaded Diablo 4 and got Vessel of Hatred as a second download option. I don’t think we’re supposed to get that for free too? I grabbed it either way, lol.

Damn that's nice. I didn't get an option for Vessel of Hatred but I already owned Diablo 4. Tried to just manually search for the DLC but it was still listed as 60. Not a huge deal since I wasn't that into Diablo 4 but still for free I'd take it.

I'm going to google and see if a glitch in the matrix or not.

I got the notification (from Plus) live while I was logged on so just hopped over and downloaded.

Something I've never seen before that made me think it was an error was instead of the usual Download to Library or Download (direct as application file to carousel) option, I had this plaintext, backend-looking dropdown that just said Game. I ticked the weird-font Game dropdown and it gave me two options: Vessel of Hatred, then Diablo IV 79.99€.

I just downloaded the free one (VoH) and now I have a 130GB file of the base game with DLC. Paid nothing.

This week was Diablo 2 25th anniversary … sadly no patch’s with content were added :(

Substantial visual and performance upgrades on track and planned for 2026 for the already impressive Pro, confirms Renaissance man Cerny in recent interview.

Only tangentially related to Playstation discussion, but if this is realized...

According to Cerny, the algorithm AMD came up with for FSR 4 could be implemented on current-generation hardware, specifically the PS5 Pro.
It would be a massive win for AMD gamers on PC. Because any upscaling software that will run on the RDNA 2.0 graphics card inside the PS5 Pro will also run on AMD cards for our PCs. That means the RX 6000, RX 7000, and RX 9000 series will all benefit.

This is what had me crossing my fingers would happen so that AMD could continue to undermine NVIDIA's irritating arrogance with their pricing, and their neglect of gamers (the very group of customers who made them the empire they are today):
...I was the guy losing my shit over the dazzle of DLSS4 during the RTX 50 series launch when everyone was negging the shit out of them due to old school rasterization pricing evaluations. The thing is...FSR4 hit and it's also goddamn impressive. Sure, it's not DLSS4, it's more like DLSS 3.5, but it's a massive improvement, and entirely open-source. It also has the weight of Sony behind it. That's what makes the PS5 Pro the most attractive of all. It will run the latest FSR. This is what's going to keep it more relevant than the Xbox One X and PS4 Pro from last generation. Cerny is actively working in concert with AMD to help it keep pace with DLSS. Best analysis since both DLSS4 and FSR4 dropped:

AMD FSR 4 is Very Impressive: 1440p Upscaling Tested: FSR 4 vs. DLSS 4

Of course, it shouldn't be overlooked this is going to keep the PS5 Pro relevant as a platform of the most advanced game performance for years beyond what its aging hardware would otherwise wither to become before the next Playstation was released.

But the big picture here is that Sony continuing to throw their clout behind this kind of open-source development, in this case the advancement and common implementation of FSR upscaling, isn't just a win for PS5 Pro owners, it's a huge win for gamers everywhere. Bravo, Sony.

Love this and thanks for the insight. The cool thing about anyone in the gaming space raising the bar is everyone in the space now has that bar to rise to – to the greater good of every player, every game, everywhere.

Probably best. Season 2 was a big step down and felt like a slog to get through. They blew their load in I think Episode 2 and just never went back. Too many dragged out 1 on 1 conversations, not enough infected.

I Liked Season 2 but it wasn't blowing my mind or anything. It's probably for the best he has to focus on intergalactic now anyways and this would be the best time to leave instead of the middle of season 3.

Grapevine: PS6 target is holiday season 2029 with official announcement in 2028 and devkits going out possibly next year.

Source is a known leaker via a PlayStation hardware engineer but what takeaway I want to highlight is I know a few of you as well as readers are fence-sitting on the Pro, reckoning you’ll just wait for 6 given it’s around the corner.

Check it, you’ll have potential years with the Pro from time of writing plus some future-proofing into PS6 gen. Pick up a Pro. Top gaming performance with robust build quality. Even non-Enhanced games see quality bump.

PS5s still sell well second-hand (mine sold in 48h) so knock a few hundred off the Pro price if budgeting. I sold mine for exactly 400€ after picking up the Pro earlier this year.

I'm fine with either 2028 or 2029. When I saw some people claim 2027 I was a bit disappointed because that would be way too soon. 2026 is shaping up to be another awesome year and I want to enjoy my Pro for quite some time until PS6 so good to know we've got for full years left.

Somewhat related news but I noticed Wuchang Fallen Feathers just got updated on the PS Store to be PS5 Pro enhanced. Good to see Chinese devs taking extra time to take advantage of the Pro hardware. Game looks pretty solid from the footage I've seen. Went from being on the fence to probably being a day one. Makes me hopeful that Phantom Blade Zero will also be enhanced.

I’d be fine with 2027 honestly but I don’t mind waiting either. I honestly don’t think I need better graphics and I’m not sure I’ll be day 1 for whatever the next system is. I don’t believe there will be any exclusives on it this time around honestly.

No way they don’t have at least one big game. I wouldn’t be surprised if they finally reveal Bloodborne remake similar to how they waited two generations to do a Demons Souls remake. I’m not one of those guys expecting it at every showcase either. I’ve always suspected that if they’re going to do that one they’re going to have it as a launch title to get the eyes on them. Might be what Bluepoint is up to since the live service stuff was axed.
