"i was inspired by his fighting ability, and his heart and iron will, and we all should be, but to think this young man is doing this all the while carrying the millions and millions of platnimaniacs on his back and sharing his successes with us an vice versa, and he is only 25???"I think i have problems, and here is why i say that.
As you can all probably tell, i am very well educated--i am educated, im a professional, i make a really healthy income, I am married to a very educated lady, and i have beautiful kids. By most accounts, i am doing very well for myself.
that all being said, i just realized that Mike Perry, the Platinum one, is only 25 years old. I have accomplished a lot of shit, but i have a few more years on me than PMP has, and i hadnt accomplished anything near what he has when i was 25.
25.
25 years old.
think about that for a second--twenty five.
This young man is only 25, yet he is on the cusp of revolutionizing the sport of mma, at only 25. he has held the emotions of arenas full of people in the palm of his hands, and has been able to satiate the blood thirstiest fans of brutal knockouts and he is only 25 years old. imagine the nerves that accompany walking into an arena packed with people who have paid just to see you?? imagine teh pressure of drawing record attendances to weight ins of people that are hoping and praying that you will notice them for just a second. all at 25!!
that is absolutely crazy to me, and the scary thing is that he hasnt yet peaked--he is still on the way up.

he isnt just an icon, he is a platinum icon.
I think i speak for all sherdog and all of the platnimaniacs when i say, though he is younger than many of us, we can all learn a lot from Mike Perry.

That was CGI bro.
and there is x43 Mike, Michael and Mikey Perry's on boxrec when you do an advanced searchI'm still amazed that people still think that footage is real considering it's been proven to be fake...it's crazy the lengths people will go to to discredit Perry...

Was not the only one. Me and my mate both had bets on Mike. When I saw him live in Manchester in that slugfest with Danny Roberts I knew I'd never see another fighter the way I saw Mike Perry that night. I was probably the only brit cheering for Platinum![]()

must've been awesome when Mike landed that knee and Danny fell backwards!!Was not the only one. Me and my mate both had bets on Mike.
They were only small bets so we didn't get carried away but we were definitely the only group supporting in him in our little area. Also was three rows back from the cage, I was not about to do some stupid shit to get me on camera and turned into a sherdog meme.must've been awesome when Mike landed that knee and Danny fell backwards!!
if I'd had a betting slip on me during that fight I would've looked something like this

You are a fucking legend mate.
Just letting you know we've officially made Alex Nicholson a Platinum Records signing for not only his years of service working with Mike Perry, but for his part in the emergence of a certified megastar!
The Platinum Goon Squad is taking heads and taking over! we aren't just nationwide, we are GLOBAL !!
