Official Nioh 2 Disc: PC & PS5 Collection launch 05 FEB 21!

So, the second DLC is very stylish compared to Tengu's Disciple, IMO, with arguably some of my favourite cutscenes after Okuni's dance from base game. Raiko, our demon slayer NPC, is also beautiful, which never hurts.

I'm experiencing Nioh fatigue again, not unlike the first game, so I feel content rather to have knocked the new missions out, done minor tweaks to char, and retired title until final DLC releases. My amrita-sword build is tired but I'm too tired to rework all the moving parts. 300-400h in this beast and I'm knackered.

I love the new AI Oboroguruma, a possessed medicine wagon/oxcart -- and Yasha is perhaps my favourite enemy in the entire series; her head-to-toe vibe is incredible with a sinister moveset and is in sum Bloodborne-calibre. So sick, fellas.

New clawed fists. Meh. Cool but kind of whatever in a Tonfa vein. Really nice strong ATK kicks and skill-tree looked refreshingly innovative -- think what they did with s/glaive.

This DLC, like deadshot alluded to, does feel overtuned, e.g., the gatekeeper boss White Tiger put me down a couple times before besting him when I never felt per se overwhelmed, and DMG in general seems dealt to blunted effect against Capital foes. I suspect these super-builds Team Ninja see on YT, Twitter whatnot have them wanting to up the ante.

Overall, respect.
I'm trying to unlock dream of the wise. There is nutty gear once you start unlocking ethereals and we'll probably need it for the last dlc.

Gating new content behind the same shit you played twice already. I honestly hope we dont get a Nioh 3 unless they do something different about new content.

Next-gen Ninja Gaiden reboot. You down?

Maybe a couple random questions, but How much time do you guys think you spent on your first Nioh and Nioh 2 playthroughs? Total time spent?

Nioh 1 over 300 hours probably half that in nioh 2. But I did all the way to Way of the Nioh in nioh 1

I know I have 365h in Nioh 2 but my memory is reaching on the original for a number; I'd probably ballpark 125h.

While November 2020 was the original estimate floated, the rumour now is this is coming to PC after the final DLC releases for PlayStation -- all in all, March 2021 at the latest but in time for Christmas for the optimist; you interested in picking this badboy up when available?

I'll get Nioh 2 when I finish Nioh 1 in 2024.

Downloaded Nioh 1 again. My old character is level 590 with level 300 weapons. Pretty sure I have a meta build with 6 piece Susano and 4 piece Ameratsu

Steam page is up. Release date is showing as Feb 5, and I'm pretty excited to finally play it.

Sooo I finally got to play this game through into ng+ as I was waiting for my brother to be available to finally play it. As many here would know I’m a pretty avid arpg person and platinumed nioh 1 on its first week of release. I have to say this game has felt painfully uninspiring through the main story. The game has so many reused assets and areas that nioh 2 felt like it was just an overly complex dlc for nioh 1.

Ay least, finished the main game. I guess that a bunch of triple boss fights will appear, and I still have to enter the dlc

Thankfully 2 is less offensive on the note so by no means fret over what's in store. Congrats on the victory, of course! The DLCs have been fun. Enjoy.

If I could beat alma and doku at the same time, I can beat whatever team ninja throws at me. Cheers!

Final DLC next week. I have yet to finish the main campaign lol.

Next Thursday, behind the dojo, three o' clock, sharpish; be there or be square!

I think I have to agree. Even though it's an objectively better game with improved combat, it doesn't feel like a new game. More like a large expansion with a lot of reused assets.

I love the combat in this, kept me going over anything. I don't think I ever played a more gratifying combat game. I just got bored of fighting the same Yokai and the bland/samey environments and lackluster level design. Mr Hoppity Hop can go fuck himself! Enemies just scale with you, so it makes levelling feel pointless at times.

They need to take their amazing combat outside of Japanese locations, while making environments feel lived in/actual places. Enemy/monster design, while greatly improved here, needs far more diversity.
