That's the thing, I DON'T think Mir has the ability to get the fight to the ground in 10 seconds. I think getting the take down may be a bit tough, especially early in the first round. Hunt has looked in really great shape lately and as good as Mir's submissions are, his takedowns are kind of crap. I wouldn't be surprised to see him land them more freely outside of the first round and a half but I don't know about ten seconds in. We also don't know if Mir will be riding the high of the Duffee and Silva knock outs and his new boxing training.
Also, while I don't think Mir will have an easy time taking this fight to the ground I also don't think Hunt will run over Mir if they strike for a bit. Again, this could be a really competitive fun fight.
Edit: Also think Hunt has more heart than Mir and is less likely to fold unless he comes in overweight / bad cut. Even with less cardio, I wouldn't be surprised to see a late stoppage from Hunt. I think Hunt is more likely to try to 'turn it up' late than Mir is.
I know logic says Round 1 here, but I'd be very interested in the Round 2/3 or Decision/Points props.
I have always been a Mir fan and I got to say there have been several times where I have wrote him off and he has won (The second Nog fight, The Duffee Fight, The Bigfoot fight.) but Hunt is one of my favorite fighters in MMA and I got to back him in this one by a KO.
I think 2016 Hunt probably punches 2016 Mir's head into the third row. But I like their matchup of different skillsets and it's a fight I have wanted to see for years.
