Frank Mir and Mark Hunt will headline the UFC's return to Australia with a five-round heavyweight contest March 19 in Brisbane.

FOX Sports' Nathan Ryan broke the story.

Hunt last fought and won at Melbourne's UFC 193 in November in a rematch against Bigfoot Silva. Hunt's TKO win snapped a two-fight losing streak.

Mir has won two of his last three fights, both by stoppage. His last fight resulted in a controversial loss via decision to Andrei Arlovsk in September at UFC 191.

Mir is a former world champion at heavyweight. Hunt, who lives in Australia, is a former K-1 world kickboxing champion and a former UFC title challenger.

I would love nothing more than for Mark "Haka Death Hands" Hunt to bring the Ruckus, but Mir probably gets a submission.

I like both guys, but Mir has to take this to the ground to stand a chance imo.

I'm tempted to fly up to Brissie to see this. I love both of these guys.

Any news about who else will be on the card yet?

Argh, big Hunto fan but this could be a quick night for him if Mir looks for an early TD. Mir's wrestling is weak, so there is a chance Hunto can stuff it and KO him of course, but my money would be on Mir.

Hunt flopped into werdums guard and dicked around for a while without getting rekt.

Heart says Hunt. But I can't stop thinking... Mir by KO?

This is actually a great fight at Heavyweight. It's funny, depending on when this fight was booked in their careers you might have said one would absolutely annihilate the other. Now, in 2016, they've both kind of worked on their weaknesses a bit. It's the perfect time for them to fight each other. Hunt's submission defense has looked a lot better, Mir's striking and chin has looked a bit better, I think this will be a fun fight.

I don't know if I completely agree that Mir HAS to take the fight to the ground to the win, but I still think it will be his best bet. Mir's wrestling and ability to get the fight to the ground and stay on top isn't the best, but it may be just good enough for Hunt as the fight goes on.

I'm excited for this one.

I really want Hunt to win, but I think Mir subs him.

Really? I thought, logically speaking, hunt is the smarter pick. Mir has a chance at a lucky blow & a larger chance for a sub but his takedowns arent good and hunts tdd is good. Mir could always pull guard but has he ever?

Even though I'm pulling for Mir, this is going to be a quick KO victory for Hunt.
