Oh, I have no doubt! I just think their version of "ranked" using a point system that doesn't factor in every "scoring" aspect of the game is kinda dumb.

There should be RP awarded for placement, kills, damage, and revives/respawns. Pretty much the same stats (other than survival time) that give you XP.

Absolutely agree. I've had many the huffy strop when having no kills, several respawns and revives and my teammates that picked up the kills after I tenderised the enemy lord it over me with their ranking points.
 
I like the new Shooting Range but I wish they had moving targets shaped like legends and took off cool down times for abilities. It could be a fun way to really practice stuff like Pathfinder slingshots but the cooldown means waiting.

Still, better than trying to perfect shit while getting shot at!
 
Crypto's drone EMP will now damage shields even if your foes drop them on the ground when it hits! :)

Yeah, it could definitely help to get the distances more honed it. Kind wish they had the dummies positioned all over the range though!

Also, I'm not sure why I can't get the acceleration on PF slingshots like I see so many do! I'll have to keep practicing
 
First time playing duos was with @Mohawk Mauler . He was Caustic and I was playing Wattson. The final circle at Geyser inside of a building and we waited until the other two squads were going at it! We came up on them as they just finish off their opponents. Mohawk rushes in and is oddly quiet... Too quiet...! :)

I'm hot on his heels so I pop my trophy so we won't get fragged to death in the hallway! Mohawk has point and popped his ultimate and spams gas traps! Mohawk takes one down and I spot a Pathfinder in the gas! The Pathfinder downs Mohawk and I'm face-to-face with them! We trade shots! I blaze them with the R-99 and they tag me with their peacekeeper!

I switch to my peacekeeper and whiff my shots! :mad:

My guns are empty and I don't have time to re-load!

They go to re-load!!!! I KNEW they were low after the skirmish and I think "to heck with it" and I went into Balrog mode from Street Fighter! As they're still reloading, I'm punching! I hit once, whiff once and then....

I hit them with the GIGATON PUNCH!

I'm savoring the moment because it was my first duos and I got the win with a Sherbro!

Turns out Mohawk had muted himself because he had to sneeze and forgot to unmute. :)

Hell yeah bud!

Been practicing my Spiderman skills. It's hard with the lack variety in the firing range, but I can consistently get about 40-45 meters slingshotting from elevated grapples and 25-30 meters off of eye-level objects.

I also found out, with Octane's Jump Pads:

Sliding onto one doesn't give you more distance as previously though, but jumping gives you elevation+distance. However, slidejumping gives you more distance than just jumping. I imagine that has to do with the speed boost you get from jumping right after starting a slide.

Been playing around with air-strafing, and boy if you get it down, you can cut decent corners midair!

I wish the "firing range" mode was actually just the full map with both stationary and walking/running dummies for target practice. Could help learn the map and have more variety to practice more precise grappling techniques.

I watched a MokeySnipes video for grappling tutorial, and he's so precise. Like, using the grapple to fling himself into doorways and through hallways and stuff. I can ping a target and get relatively close, but I don't have buildings or structures to practice that sort of maneuvering.
 
Actually when i walked inside that building 2 guys were straight chillin and i wiped them both with a devotion lol @Strychnine

Dropped the one dude in the final squad and as i went down im on my mic "Strych! Strych! where are you!?! No!? Strych!"....Strolls in for a nice one touch ko and got us the win.

Im still on my mic wondering why he is not answering me only to realize i muted myself like 10mins before lmao didnt wanna cough in his ear and totally forgot im muted.

I used to play with a guy who constantly muted his mic and forgot about doing it. Eventually, I got used to reminding him to unmute, but before that he would just play entire matches talking into his mic, not even realizing that noone could hear him.
 
Just played with some worthless, impatient, randoms! :mad:

We drop into the refinery and I could only find fisticuffs and a dream! They get downed and I'm thinking "Ok, they'll see that I don't have anything and maybe wait so I can grab their banners."

NOPE.

They jet, instantly after about 2 mins of playtime.
I'm on my own...

I loot and scoot, make it to the lava dome and to my luck no one had been there, I grab a purple armor, peacekeeper, and spitfire. I ran into a squad of two, but outfoxed them and made my escape. I play the circle, couldn't find any sights and now we're down to the last 4 squads...

I wait until it's down to the last 3 and as I'm running towards the sound of combat, it became 2 squads left.

The rest is history...


 
In fact, given how rusty I am, you might be better off without me <45>
 
Sorry for the triple post but I found something that should be fixed

On the map, the Vault rooms don't show that they've been unlocked after they have been. That fucking SUCKS. The ring was coming in, I was solo (both team mates left after dying early) and I had a key. So I ping a vault room and started running towards it. I kept checking the map and it never crossed my mind that they never added an "unlocked" symbol?

So I got there, the room had been looted and I got killed by another team gatekeeping.

A team that was garbage, mind you. I might have been able to 3v1 if I had better than a white shield.
