Oblique kick should be banned from UFC

It doesn't matter. In the future, all fighting will be done by robots.

The reason for these shades of technological white may be racism, according to new research.

Lol. No fun allowed.

Knee injuries can change an entire career. They should be banned.

So can a concussion from punches or head kicks...they should be banned too?

And lets declaw the wild animals in Africa too,Folks, those claws kill other animals.

The use of the lever should also be prohibited because you can damage the elbow joint.
No it should not

The only answer.

I always said that but people laughed at me like "go watch WWE or dance"

I'm so happy this dude released this video:

Ive been using the kick since like age 4. I've never injured someone. If someone has a proper stance... it's pretty much impossible to cause damage. It's more just like a low teep that keeps their weight distribution checked.

No it shouldn't . Neither should knees to a the head of a grounded fighter , soccer kicks , head stomps , 12-6 elbows. Only blows to the back of the head and the obvious stuff like eye pokes , small joint manipulation and groin strikes . I don't care what this click bate soy face doctor has to see . Fighting is dangerous and brutal but the whole point of the sport is to see what's actually effective in Vale Tudo style prize fighting . If you don't like that go somewhere else .
TAP SNAP OR NAP BROOOO

If they allow it they should allow knees to a downed opponent and kicks on the ground (provided both fighters are grounds - like in a leg entanglement) they're not any more aesthetically brutal than hyperextending the fuck outta someones knee.

Jabs are far more devastating. Just think of damages it could do: broken orbital bones, jaws, noses, damage to teeth, open cuts, permanent eye damage, CTE or even you guessed it DEATH. All of those (except last) appear at UFC quite frequently. But one knee break (don't stay heavyfooted brah) on 25 year occasion and everybody going nuts. GTFO.

I've never ever heard one single argument against banning it that couldn't have been used when the discussion was banning groin shots, hair pulling, fish hooking, and small joint manipulation.

Now this thread is full of them. Thanks for the original thoughts, everyone.

Fighter safety is a myth and a buzzword for lefties.

All competitors should expect to be maimed when entering the cage.

And honestly, you know the fight sucks if someone wasnt.

All the hard man keyboard warriors as always.. they are a dirty kick and have no place in sport. Literally a kick where the purpose is to catch the guy with a straight leg and break it. Should be purely for self defence.
Technically speaking, if you're grabbing an armbar and as soon as you get your grip, you just buck your hips and snap the arm, it'd be legal. It's just that, everyone who rolls attempts to secure their submission, and everyone would call you dirty. And if you did it every time you tried to grab an arm, fighters will want to either punch you on sight, refuse to fight you, and/or complain about your habits. If a bunch of fighters started doing it, there'd be movement towards a rule change.

This part of my hypothetical is where people will jump in and go, "but everyone isn't doing it, it rarely has happens." And s rule based on safety shouldn't be based on current frequencies, they should be based on potential danger.
