whenever there is a suggestive study, there usually is an outcome for further funding, and it's not for nothing.

I think the end result is a lot of performative action. It’s not going to be 40 acres and a mule or a cash deposit. It’s going to be some initiative to improve traditional “black” neighborhoods. There will be some statues and acknowledgement of past slavery. Most of those black neighborhoods are already beginning to gentrify around 15-20 years ago. Many black families left the area already.

Its a bill to study reparations. This is just the Dems putting on a show to get them out to vote but will never actually do anything.

In Cali they did the study and set a number, but then said there wasn't any money for it.

They are copying SF when it did the same thing last year. Basically, virtue signaling lefties put forth a motion to create a report about why they deserve reparations, but never actually will allocate them. Cities can't just take it upon themselves to give out lump sums of white lib soy-dollars. They walk on razor wire budgets and are limited in rev stream generation.

The question is how much is that report going to actually cost?

that 94 year old lady might live to see the “black leaders” come back with an eleventy sextillion dollar price tag that they calculated out of their ass like they did in California then everybody with power will pretend it didn’t happen..but that’s it.

It’s just a tennis ball democrats throw into the woods to get them off their back for 2-3 years. Then after the study they’ll spend another 2-3 diligently studying the study before they pass a bill for another study.
