I live just outside Queens as I would never live inside NYC limits. NYC has been getting progressively worse since DiBlaseo was elected in 2014. Prior to that it had been improving since the early 2000's.

I remember being a kid in the 80s and 90s back when it was very unsafe outside of the tourist areas. I sort of hope we return to that. I love seeing the progressive transplants become victims of violent crime.

I remember it through the 80’s, 90’s, and all the way until now. You’re spot on.
