Interesting PR move

In practice - new NYC Mayors pick and choose which previous EOs remain or are revoked. Mamdani probably ends up in a similar spot but with a different spin.

Claiming that Adam's EOs post indictment actions are essentially illegitimate probably resonates with Mamdani's base but is unlikely to be internally consistent. That is, Mamdani is unlikely to claim that ALL of Adam's actions as Mayor post indictment are illegitimate. I doubt that that would have a legal basis or be practical.

Feels like a way for Mamdani to do what most incoming Mayors do re EOs but in a way that feels fresh and takes a shot of Adam's well publicized corruption.

Fucking lol. Just go ahead and try to say with a straight face that his lesbian female fire chief was not a dei pick just like bidens pick for scotus. Sure, they might have qualifications-at least in the scotus pick, but make no fucking mistake that race and sex and orientation were the primary reasons these people were chosen.

In this case, there are 17k employees under fdny. Over 11k are firefighters and 4,500 are emt/paramedics. She has only done emt work and has no fucking clue or experience in firefighting. She doesn’t even look like she could pick up a fire hose and know which end to point at the fire-but yeah, she’s so qualified to run a majority firefighter department lol

Dude. She was Chief of EMS for 3 years, and how many female firefighters do you know that are straight, lol.

I’m liking this Mamdani guy already. Triggering the DEI-a-phobes with an absolutely qualified appointment is a really nice start.
