in NYC, the middle class is ultra-rich anywhere else in the country. she specifically provides a hypothetical "mrs. smith" who owns 15 buildings for real estate investment in NYC. anyone who owns 15 homes in NYC is legitimately a multi-millionaire.

Yeah, i don't think she was talking about the middle class with that example. I think it was just two examples cobbled together, the rich and the middle class.
And if she thinks someone that has 15 homes is middle class ANYWHERE in America, you're dealing with a class A moron in charge of homes in NY.

This is what wannabe Communists do - they destroy the middle class deliberately leaving only the rich and the poor. It's all by design. The thing is, this woman wouldn't REALLY fall into the rich category when that happens, and will end up destitute by her own fucking hand. The epitome of 'useful idiot'.

I look at this as ripping off the band aid. I don't want an ideological circle jerk that amounts to 'nibbling around the edges', I want NYC to test our these socialist/collectivist ideas, in a big way. If these ideologies need testing to either deliver the utopia they promise, or die a quick death.

Communism has been tried and proven to economically and morally destroy countries. You’d have to be a complete ignoramus to argue for communism in good faith, which is why most of them don’t.
