It’s bad on so many levels. Soo so bad.
Both hands down, telegraphing the kick by staring at the target, being off balance, leaning back, slow AF.
She was scared.
All muchly true. Except for the hands down, the view can be a little deceptive. I'll explain.
Sidenote. Notice a boxing site put up this vid. Interesting.

I bust on Jackson / Wink 'cause they had themselves dubbed "The Champion Factory." The obvious big stain on that which MMA media will never let us forget - is the Jon Jones PED infractions. Anyhow, Jackson / Wink is not some zero camp. So if one examines the picture as Holly throws out that low side kick to the knee area of Nunes, Holly's hands are basically up, with the critical rear hand up protecting the vicinity of her head. So +1 for JAckson / Wink.
Boxers are trained to have quick reactions which Holly does, and which Jackson / Wink had a hand in imparting same. Which is also what went wrong. When Holly realized that Nunes wasn't put off by her kick / motion and Amanda shot for the counter appropriately,,,, it's was hhoooollllllllyyyyy ssshheeeeettttt time, in boxing mindset.
Holly failed to adjust in any meaningful way from that point on (seconds, second, split second?) and
BOOM.
I may link back the karate kumite solution to all this... it's among my library of (supposedly) intelligent fighting. Amanda was fighting intelligently. Holly was putting up a good scrap too, she always does.
