Nunes/Tate looked like what Holm/Tate should have

If Holm was more aggressive Tate would have been done in the 1st round. Holm didn't have any business losing to a fighter on Tates caliber. Shame on Holm.

Nunes vs Holm next.
too bad Holm isn't anywhere near as aggressive as Nunes. she paces herself and that allows her to have that 5 round cardio Nunes lacks. Holm also doesn't have a ground game...

I'm actually surprised how clueless Meisha looked, I still feel she is way better than that performance

I thought her boxing looked OK versus Nunes. But you shouldn't go in there to prove ANYTHING in a five round title fight. She should have been thinking nothing but takedown to wear Nunes down, that remains the blueprint to beat Nunes in my opinion.
Nunes defended 5/5 takedowns within half a round.
A lack of takedown attempts really wasn't the problem.

Didn't actually Nunes take her down for a moment?

Completely different fighters. Nunes is the best finisher in the entire division, excluding Ronda, and Holly is nowhere close to that. Holly hasn't come anywhere close to a finish in the UFC outside of her fight with Ronda. Nunes puts her opponents I'm pretty big trouble in every single fight. Even in her losses.
Not to mention that Nunes can open up more cause she's actually a ground fighter first that added the striking later

Holly has pillow fists compared to Amanda. Miesha barely had a mark on her against Holly, while Amanda made her look even worse than Cat did.

I think Holm took it easy on Tate. The fact is Holm will be champ again if they give her the title shot after beating Schevlchunko.

Nunes has a ground game so wasn't afraid of the takedown. Holly has next to none which is why the two fights went the way they did.

I thought it was interesting that Tate's most vaunted attributes, toughness and heart, were both completely absent. She tapped to a "Choke" across her jaw, which is a painful but certainly tolerable move. She was done anyway, we know, but very unlike Tate to cave so.

I fail to see how Holm was unlucky. She failed to beat the "punching bag", that's not being unlucky.

She won every part of that fight until the last couple minutes. Perhaps unfortunate is more the word. Had Holly pressured Tate a bit more she could have got the finish just like Nunes.

Holm isn't a blitzing first round destroyer who throws every punch with her soul in her fist...

Delusional Holmboys at it again.
Holm had one bright moment in her mma career.
Just one. She 's the mediocre one not Tate.
Tate needed Holm to beat Rousey because she wasn't capable of it, crushed twice without winning a round. Between Rousey, Holm & Tate it's Holm who is the only one to steal some rounds from the woman she lost to.

Holm is a counter striker, with Tate refusing to engage their fight was never going to look like that.

The crank served as a choke anyway. With the forearm across her mouth and her nose being completely shattered, I doubt she could breathe well at all.

Holm is not an aggressive striker she isn't uncomfortable going forward and her TDD is much wors eif she attacks and she also doent have Nunes' power. Holm could maybe beat Nunes though she does well against fighters like Nunes and Ronda

That's right. I'm just saying that aside from her victory over Ronda she hasn't accomplished shit in mma.
The same cannot be said of Tate.

Nunes has good BJJ and is confident in her ground game.

We saw why Holly was not aggressive. She looked completely lost on her back both times Miesha got her down.

She cannot open up the way Nunes does with a bottom ground game like that, she needs to work a LOT on not just getting back to her feet, but the basics of avoiding bad positions, subs, and GnP.

Not true. She lost a 10-8 round in that fight, looked completely lost on the ground and was nearly finished. I mean everyone knew Meisha would be the better grappler but I did not expect Holm's ground game to look THAT bad.

I would take Holm in a rematch still, but man she has a long way to go to be well rounded.

if tate got that initial td fight would have come out different
