Based on the recent timelines, if Amanda fights again after this, she won't have faced someone not named Pena in close to three years.

This is how modern UFC works. People spend multiple years just fighting the same person over and over again. Even if they destroyed them last fight.

Luckily in this case it is WMMA, so nobody cares anyway.

If you lost a title fight (as contender) you had to work your way back up.
Hell even champs had to. Rich lost the belt to AS and had to work his way back with a few fights.
Now its rematch after rematch after rematch...

The Pena/Nunes thing has been going on for nearly 2 years. If Pena fights her again it will be nearly 4 years of noone else challenging for the women's BW belt. That's insane
