Nunes possibly fighting Peña again?

If that happens, it’s probably her retirement fight.
I’m Canadian and I do not approve of this main event.

That's a bit unfair.

She's been fighting girls like Spencer, Anderson, and Pena because she's already beaten most of the rest who deserved a title shot. I mean, you only listed her last 3 opponents. Go back 6 and the list then includes GDR, Holly, and Cyborg.

Aldana isn't the most deserving. She's is on a 2 fight win streak that consists of Chiasson and Santos, who are both very low-level. She doesn't deserve it over Pennington, who is ranked 2nd and on probably the biggest win streak in the division, and has a win over Aldana. The UFC aren't interested in trying to market a Nunes/Pennington rematch after the first fight was so easy for Nunes however.

There's no real good options left at BW. I can't see Holly wanting a title fight, and if she did, it's still a rematch to a one-sided fight. Holly looks way past it now as well. Ketlen is coming off a loss. 6,7 and 8 you have Santos, Pannie, and Chiasson, who aren't anywhere near ready to fight for a title.

I'd still give Aldana a shot just because it's a new matchup, and Aldana's getting on a bit in years. With a bit of luck, my hope that Grasso and Aldana being UFC champs at the same time which I've held onto since their Invicta days might just come true lol.

It was?? The scores were 50-44 and 50-43 on two scorecard with a 50-45. It was pretty clear Nunes domination.

Did you not see Nunes face after the fight? Either way Pena beat her the first fight and made her panic wrestle in the rematch. Nunes finishes all her opponents except Pena. They’re 1-1 so a 3rd fight makes sense. Penas the only one who won’t break fighting Nunes

Her face?? LOL. Sort of like how GSP looked after fights even though he dominated everyone?? What I saw was complete domination by the champ. A third fight is rather pointless.

She should fight Aldana, better option. And you're reference to cans is rather dumb, she's fought nothing but top contenders at BW

I'm ok with it.

it's 1-1 in their fights so..... Peña gets a chance for the trilogy.

BUT...yes....I really wanna see Aldana fight for the 135lbs title. in 2023.
 
Based on the recent timelines, if Amanda fights again after this, she won't have faced someone not named Pena in close to three years.

This is how modern UFC works. People spend multiple years just fighting the same person over and over again. Even if they destroyed them last fight.

Luckily in this case it is WMMA, so nobody cares anyway.

what a complete waste of time. i don't think the idea of gsp / serra 3 was floated even one time. but the ufc is a different beast now. feels like the adults aren't driving anymore.

Bigger fan than i. With all these fighters to watch for, i just don't give a shit. Nothing else creates buzz for wmma in that division, so...might as well. Better have a good co main tho
