This is for all the prejudiced shaft-
swingers who want to not only stereotype
an entire nation, but go as far as to single
out a camp that has never tested positive
for any banned substance. (If I'm wrong
here, feel free to correct me)
All you saying that NU was 1-11 post
USADA & shit without putting it into
context are just pushing some bullshit
narrative that is already prominent on
sherdog that Brazilians are dirty.
When in reality, these losses aren't
coming by way of simple diminished
attributes & skill. Lots of these fights
have been hard fought, close decisions
(Hacran Dias, Formiga, Gadelha, etc..)
or basic circumstantial MMA losses
like losing after a long layoff (Eduardo)
or getting caught (Aldo).
Nothing that is indicative of a drop off
in skill or conditioning.... Even Barao
had it in him to display the champions'
heart that he has always been known for.
So again, for all you xenophobic crybabies
who are tired of Brazil's perennial MMA
championship presence... I personally
love when we see a new Brazilian champion
crowned. Most of these fighters have come
from nothing & martial arts is their entire
lives because of it. I enjoy being a fan of
a sport where we get to see these great
hearts & dreams rise. The sport of MMA
does not discriminate. It is not prejudiced...
The JBG simply DGAF.
& This year in particular, we seem to be
getting reminded of that repeatedly
