not on the roof solar panels?

What about attaching the panels to the wall instead of roof?
It does work ofc while overall effectivity might be considerably lower than form solar panels installed on roofs or ground installation.
Any decent installer should to mod ...g. calculation process and this does take time from real specialists in field and they are using guys really interested in this stuff....even if these are apprentices, they aren't dumb.

In Northetn Euro in some cases wall installations are preferred choice while this usually is after discussions etc in place and in person...after modelling will be done.

If about financial risk, for short term this usually is lower than for installation on the roof .... for medium term it is going closer cos IF shit will happen, problems in $ you usually will get more than if you had ground based installation. Especially cos to repair etc stuff associated with wall will not be cheap and fast process at all.

I'd guess on the wall mount wouldn't cause roof leaking problems. Maybe can't install as many on the wall as on roof.

Install wind turbines as well
For wind turbines at least in Europe you will get more brutal opposition and even withouth this .....it will be longer road to feel what stuff is torture process even if you do have money to put on the table.

Yes, it will not cause roof leaking problems....
While production potential should get calculated carefully and with guys in the place not in internet....

Repair cost for wall might be different.

Repair cost for wall might be from some 20 € till more than 370 € or more for 1 Sq meter for wall...in EU. ...+ VAT etc.
So if shit will happen it will be like this...

Yes.

Additionally at least in europe usually you will have more legal problems ....
Ofc depends from location and local & state regulations.
Usually you will have minimum mando requirement that if mast will fall, it can't land on others property.
If mast is 100 ft tall, then it should be at least some 130 ft etc from border of your property....and electricity lines etc stuff...
Also a lot of stuff about landscape hmm architecture.
Depending from location you might even need to have approval from regional landscape architector In municipality and ....maybe even public survey and voting ....damn...

Solar panels if compare with this are plain and simple.
You will not get tortured by birds friends and regional landscape specialists etc....

If for power plants in europe solar stuff is easiest to get papers done Rice Purity Test Score Meaning.... wind stuff for large farms sometimes might end with 6 years or longer discussions ...
also thank you for your suggestion
