International Norwegian Marine Fuel Company Has Request to Stop Fueling US Navy Rejected by Defence Minister

What deal? What's an acceptable deal to you? Surrendering your country over to invaders?
Putin needs to come to the table for the deal the world want's made. Would he sign it? Will he stand by his word? Can he make promises any better than Trump can?

Europe and Scandinavia has majority support Ukraine's NATO membership. It's Russia and US who are opposed to it. US is probably going to leave NATO.

Ukraine is on an ‘irreversible’ path to NATO. (But only after war with Russia ends)

Elon Musk strikes fear into Europe after agreeing the US should LEAVE both NATO and the UN

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...k-fear-European-leaders-US-leave-NATO-UN.html

I predict Ukraine will be an official member of NATO before this war is over.

The deal for Ukraine is they get to keep their sovereignty. I think Putin would sign a deal, probably not very favorable to Ukraine but it would stop the war and they could keep their sovereignty.
Translation: "You get to live if you become Russian." Shit deal.
What Putin would do afterwards is all speculation. I think it would take him a few years to reload anyway so the West, namely Europe, would have time to build their defenses and prepare as well. There's also a plethora of things that could happen by chance that changes Russia's direction in war or politics.
US needs to pick a side. Now.

Attn Norway: you have to be thankful, you don't have the cards

<Dany07>

I love Norway, I've been to Norway, I have extended family in Norway, my entire ancestral heritage is linked to Norway. The bilateral relationship the US has with Norway is stronger than most. I mean, the ink is virtually still drying on a deal for expanded defense cooperation of all things, FFS. Just lol @ "we aren't going to accommodate the US Navy". The defense minister was correct to strike this stunning and brave nonsense down immediately.

What "side"? See, you're ok with Ukrainians being killed because of some fuck Putin and Russia agenda. Just like the rest of Europe. You've maybe been brainwashed to the point common sense just goes to the wayside. Ukraine doesn't have another alternative except to beg for money and slowly get conquered.

All out war with Russia is obviously, very obviously to anyone with a working brain, NOT on the table as much as many of you wish it to be so.

So anyone having the misfortune of bordering Russia should just surrender and not ask for world aid in order to "deescalate the situation"? Resisting this invasion has more long term implications than a simple carjacking.

I wouldn’t bother interacting with that guy. He comes of as completely clueless and immature. I previously mistok him for a Trump-voter, but now assume he’s around 12.
So anyone having the misfortune of bordering Russia should just surrender and not ask for world aid in order to "deescalate the situation"? You're treating an invasion like it's a simple carjacking.

What you're saying is basically invest hundreds of billions of dollars into something that's going to fail with Russia conquering them anyway.

Sounds like a nothingburger from some triggered dude, in no way representative of Norway's position.

OSLO, March 2 (Reuters) - NATO member Norway will continue to supply fuel for U.S. Navy ships, the country's defence minister said on Sunday, after a call from a private marine fuel supplier to stop doing so in response to the apparent breakdown in U.S.-Ukrainian relations.
"We have seen reports raising concerns about support for U.S. Navy vessels in Norway. This is not in line with the Norwegian government's policy," Norway's Defence Minister Tore Sandvik said in a statement.

"American forces will continue to receive the supply and support they require from Norway," he added.
Sandvik issued his statement after privately held Norwegian fuel supplier Haltbakk Bunkers said that it would stop supplying U.S. Navy ships in response to how Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy was treated at the White House on Friday.
"Huge credit to the president of Ukraine restraining himself and for keeping calm even though USA put on a backstabbing TV show. It made us sick... No Fuel to Americans!," the company said in a now deleted Facebook post.

Haltbakk Bunkers CEO Gunnar Gran confirmed to Norwegian newspaper VG that the company made a decision not to supply the U.S. military, but said the move would have a "symbolic" impact as it didn't have a fixed contract.
The company did not immediately respond to Reuters' request for comment.

Interesting...

I am not sure if Haltbakk are bound by the Defence Minister's decision, but it's a small sign of how unpopular this US administration is making itself in Europe.

Another eurocuck gesticulating, he‘ll do what he told and STFU.

Imagine how dumb you'd have to be to think crippling the US fleet in Europe is a good idea.

"Oh yeah Trump? You don't want war in Ukraine, how about we stop fueling your ships that protect us?!?!" Huh, huh?"

Fucking idiots.
It’s a private company it’s not crippling anything it’s doing what most EU should do anyway until we get our act together .

Norway has its own fleet and I thought you said the U.S wasn’t getting involved in the war anyway ? Lol

Yeah those 6 submarines are certainly putting fear in potential opponents.

The status quo is tiresome and a lost cause.
A lot of this is true but Russia isn’t exactly doing much outside fake news , the fact is Russia has only gained 25 miles west of Ukrainian territory in over a year , Ukraine has taken some Russia territory in the east and its barely reported when Russia is on the defense etc etc …..there’s not nearly enough for Ukraine just to take a deal when Russia isn’t doing much but losing much more soldiers then Ukraine is thiugh it has more to sacrifice .

What deal would be acceptable?

This ongoing conflict has led to escalating casualties and the Russians have made territorial gains. They will not abandon those. That territory is now gone.

The best Ukraine could hope for is a security guarantee that requires other European nations to keep a military contingent in Ukraine. Having German and French troops etc. stationed in Ukraine would be an effective deterrent, Putin would vault at the idea of potentially killing troops from other European nations.

Ukraine unfortunately isn’t in a position of strength when bargaining, and their people are dying needlessly at this point. Equipping them and standing back was effective for a time, but not for the past 18 months. This has to stop.

Norway is 30 times smaller then the U.S any potential threat that is perceived as a NATO breach would involve more countries, are you a Trumper ? Lol

It’s not much for Russia to sacrifice at all: their culture has placed individual value below the state for decades. What are a few lives when there are so many more to take their place? And criminals willing to fight to secure freedom? It’s a win-win, clean out prisons, and meat for the grinder.

It’s a horrible calculation, of course. But this is the reality for Russia. The gains may be small, but there ARE gains and as I understand it, the rate of Ukrainian casualties is climbing. If the current approach of European nations to give money, weapons and stand back continues then in time Ukraine will be totally lost.

Some European leaders are already talking about involving their military. They want that war for some reason.

So what you're saying is that it was a stupid and empty gesture that accomplished nothing other than insulting Europe's greatest ally?
