Noise cancelling headphones

What if you wake up and they're gone. Then before they wheel you out into the alley you see an orderly cruising round with a new set of headphones?
Me not having the luxury of being asleep is the issue, I'd gladly swap headphones for for a general anesthetic.

Hey when do you go under the knife, I forget?
Hope it comes out roses.
I still don't know, I've said if there's a dropout I can be there ASAP but if no one drops out it's likely to be 2 months. Need it over with, the PT isn't going to be fun and then when I'm fit and healthy I have to through exactly the same with lefty. But cross that bridge.

I've already got a load of titanium in me, husband's been calling me a cyborg for the last couple of years.

I asked about doing a double replacement at the same time but it's not a good idea, the risk of blood clotting and infection double.

Hope you find a pair that work. Surgery sounds are not fun. Not to mention you know your privates are out for the world to see. But hopefully when it’s over it will all be worth it and you can spread your legs again like.....um.....you can dance and walk with no pain.
I don't really care about people seeing my privates, I just want to listen to a podcast without hearing surgery noises.
Last sentence gave me a giggle.

Those don't appear to be noise canceling. They are listed as noise isolating so they should block out a lot of sound but not all. According to Bose who developed noise canceling,
[QUOTENoise cancelling headphones monitor the sound around you, preventing the unwanted noise from ever reaching your ears. Miniature microphones in the earcups or earbuds listen to the outside noise frequencies and emit the exact opposite signal to effectively “cancel out” both sets of sounds when the soundwaves collide.QUOTE]

They've just been delivered but I broke a nail trying to get into the box so I'll have to wait for husband to finish work and test them out. Thank you for looking it up, they're cheap so no need to send them back, I'll just take advice from this thread and pick something better.

Can't rush being miserable.

Just want to get one out of the way before deciding if I really need lefty doing, they both look equally as bad on x-ray but left is barely noticeable pain wise. My GP and surgeon were quite shocked when I said it started 12 years ago.

There are leaf blowers outside giving me anxiety that I'll be hearing something like that for hours when I'm on the slab :D

Wish you luck with it, hope it gives you a better quality of life.

I'm such an Apple chick, their products just...work. Just got some Air Pod Pros delivered and they are shockingly good. Like I can't hear a single thing outside of what I'm wanting to listen to on my phone.

$170, I always thought they'd cost a fortune.

I want some , I’m too cheap though I’ve got a JVC set that works well.

I had some other ones from another one of the music brands that sounded better but didn’t last in working environments so..

I have no need for headphones other than not hearing my hip being removed with a chainsaw while I listen to music. And these are perfect for that. Amazon have a deal on them, they're normally $250. But for what I need them for they're a sweet deal.

These don't look good. Looks like beats bootlegs.

Noise cancelling cancels constant background noise, like an AC. It probably won't work for a saw.

Why aren't you going under?

It's the best I've tried. I can't do anything else at this point. I've had a speed bump heart rate wise but if I can cross that I'm in on Thursday.
I've asked twice. They won't let me, something about needing to catch if the blood starts clotting? This is my biggest worry, my last surgery I was terrified about being put under and not being in control. That went swimmingly. Now I'm scared stiff about having an epidural and a sedative.

The surgeon keeps telling me most patients don't even remember it. I'm an insomniac, I don't give a flip about remembering anything. It's the 2.5/3 hours hearing everything that is going on that terrifies me.

Bose quiet comfort earbuds. I love them, can't fly without them. I think they are well worth the money
I’ve always thought that Bose was one of the few brands that absolutely lived up to the hype of their quality and was worth every penny. Never been disappointed by any of their products that I’ve owned
