Noche UFC card is the worst yet?

Yeah...? I mean if you follow the sport closely, then yes. If you casually follow the sport, then probably not?

I love how people here try comparing cards to like 16 years ago when they were literally 16 years younger and obviously followed the UFC closer. How are you going to say last weekend was a bad card.
You're telling me the cards are just as good as theyve always been and it's just that my perspective is off because I don't follow as closely. Are you on the UFC payoll?

I've been watching since UFC 1 and the cards nowadays are dogshit compared to even just a few years back.

Here is your weekly worst card ever thread but tbh minus the main event this card is actually trash.

That is a pretty bad card... not the worst, but pretty bad -- some mistmatches and not many big contenders (and why is Suarez on the undercard?). Hopefully they all bring the ruckus though -- bad cards can be fun.

It’s a nice card
I’ll be defiantly watching this over that barbaric boxing stuff

Are you guys that shit on every non stacked card and say it’s hard to be a fan like this with other sports?
Like “uhhh I can’t watch this Monday Night Football game, I only watch the Super Bowl”

<{1-8}>

I'm being serious. It's just a bunch of names on the card like all of them these days. Outside of a few guys, I don't really know who any of these fighters are these days. I will rewatch fights if I remember something being a nasty finish or controversial, but they just kind of blur together.
I'm with you. I generally recognize no more than a few names on any given card these days. Truth is though, some "no name" cards turn out to be bangers.

Not going to rank them 1-10 but quickly scanning back for worse cards.

1.UFC on ESPN: Taira vs. Park - Aug 2nd 2025

4. UFC Fight Night: Dern vs. Ribas 2 - January 11 2025
5. UFC on ESPN: Lemos vs. Jandiroba - July 20 2024
6. UFC on ESPN: Perez vs. Taira - June 15 2024

9. UFC on ESPN: Ribas vs. Namajunas - March 24, 2024
10. UFC Fight Night: Hermansson vs. Pyfer Feb 10 2024.

Honestly had about 5 more events in the 19 past months reviewed, that I'd say were worse at the time as well easily, but had fighters who were largely unproven at the time and have improved to where the cards getting the benefit of the doubt now that it wouldnt have before the event as well.
Lol you are just looking at main events. I said I thought this cards main event was fine and the rest was shit. Nice try though good effort.

He didn't say that

This is inarguably true

*From your perspective

That's clearly what's he's implying, I still follow it closely enough to know exactly what's going on with an ability judge and compare cards and overall modern cards are trash relative to the past. Believe what you want though.

The main card is alright what I have more of a problem with is the undercard. Why do we need 8 fights when the main card already has 6? Especially when the majority of the people on the undercard are not recognizable to anyone but the most hardcore of hardcore fans. It should have been 5 instead of 8. This card is going to be a slog, I just have a feeling.

Looks fine. I don't see what your complaint is.

For $80 its pretty underwhelming.

Dana isn't even trying to make this a good value anymore as they are coming off the PPV model. This makes perfect sense for a really high quality free card and a really low quality PPV.

It looks the same as most of the most recent PPVs to me. A bunch of random filler fights that should deliver with a solid top three. Outside of UFC 100, there wasn't a single card I would have paid $80 for.

14 fights is crazy too! Guess they have to put that many because of all the pull out merchants these days. At least three of these fights will fall through. Lmao
This has already been addressed.

To be fair, the sentiment about 'most recent PPVs' is that its a bad value for $80.

I'd also add, if you yourself would not pay for it, that is what its being judged by. Is this a good card (to steal for free, no judgement just stating facts) is sort of a de facto zero sum measurement.

I'm not just looking at the main events. Those cards all blow. Main event is also more important than the fights before it so it should weight higher.

If a main event is a 9 out of 10
And all fights before it are 4 out of 10

Thats a better card than:

a 6 out of 10 main event
And all fights before it are 5 out of 10.

You asked for receipts, I provided so show me which of my ten this card is worse than, and why it's worse?

If I *ONLY * looked at the main events Noche would be better than some PPVs even.

They shat the bed on this one. First because the didn't book Yair vs Lopes.

Second because Silva is going to starch Lopes.. well, that is not bad because we have a new contender.
