No Rest for the Weary

Dat dere grip strenght is not very impressive.

Well, Ive never had any serious knee problems, but its easier to avoid dem kissing knees when doing box squats.
Pretty much, my hips, lower, back, knees, everything feels good when doing box squats. They feel more "friendly" then the free squat

For you buddy, cold, no warmup, after OHP and Close grip benchin'

Time to get a better spring brophus LOLOLOLOL

^ niccce.

Dat dere grip strenght is not very impressive.

Dat dere grip strength is impressive to me because it's much more that I can do.

Kotriz has a vulcan, I've used it a bunch of times.

I was meaning to order one last week hoping it would arrive in to to take with me on my summer vacations, but apparently their shop is closed until the 15th. Sent them an email to let me know the availability/price/payment options as soon as they're back.

Where did you start at when you first tried the vulcan and how log ago was that?

I could already close a Captains of Crush #3 when I got the V2 vulcan, I also owned the original version years ago when I was doing a lot of short steel bending, phone book tearing and other things grip/wrist related.

The newer Vulcan is much harder to set than the older model because of the wider handle spread, but is also a lot smoother on the close which is a plus. I think my best close on the original Vulcan was Level 16 black spring, I am at level 14 with the V2 and the black spring. I haven't much used my wasp spring yet, I am waiting until the black gets easier / wears down a bit.

Level 14, you mean 14/14 with a black spring?

That sounds pretty fucking hard, considering I could only go to orange 7/7 for a rep or two!

Does the lack on knurling on the vulcan make a significant difference to you?

Look at those forearms, offcourse you crush that shit easily. :D

Grip training is frustrating. Hard to make progress and hard to find time to do it properly with sheiko, you're usually in there for 2 hours and afterwards you just want to get to the shower and have some food afterwards.

Can it cure hip AIDS? :D

Its not going so good.
I tried some light squatting today, but felt a impinging sensation when I reached parallel and below.
Dont feel it during bw squats, during any leg exercises other than parallel squat and not when bicycling, running etc.

So ill think ill name it squat aids, instead.
Thanks for asking!

Look into DMSO, works wonders. I always used it in the past for elbow tendinitis and a wrist injury. I even suggested it to Ben Rice (youtube his deadlifts) when he had problems over facebook, said it had his hips feeling golden in a week. It'll only do good for you bud.

I use DMSO at 10% in the lab to freeze cells because apparently it prevents the formation of ice crystals which could harm the cells in the process of freezing.

Thanks for the suggestion squat. Ill look into it. But im unsure how well it would work as a longterm option.

Cool story toonie :D so is that good or bad?

It will help you heal bud, works on a cellular level as I understand DMSO. It can also be used with other pain killing gels. I am pretty sure Eric has said in the past that he used it along with icy hot?

Oh, I just said that as a coolstorybro. That's what I happen to use DMSO for.
