Crime No one talking about Matthew Ruth?

If he ran the cops over would you say we should ban vehicles?
Treating guns like cars is a great idea. You need a license, be able to pass a test showing you understand how to use them safely and within the confines of the law, that license can be revoked if you’re endangering others, you have to carry insurance on it, and it is registered with the state government.

Good thinking amigo

Nothing more dangerous than a strait white male with an AR15. Lock up his corpse.

It doesn’t say, it just says that he was “stationed” inside the house, so it sounds like he was waiting for the cops to come and was aiming at the door

From what I can tell, since this wasn’t politically or racially motivated and was a “white on white” crime there is no way to blame any of those things so this will probably be pretty well ignored. You said hair colour. I suppose it’s possible the shooter was a ginger
But if think he can solve his issues by shooting with the automatic rifle is already pokitically motivated.

I mean, if you need an age limit to own it, then a license such as that makes sense.

That could be the way to go.

Groundhog Day. Another gun atrocity another day goes by where America does nothing about its gun laws. Gun advocates will blame political leaning, religion, sexuality, skin colour, hair colour, video games, anything. But never the guns. Light some more candles. Say some more prayers. Name another national day of remembrance.
Just because this piece of shit psycho killed some cops doesnt mean my shotgun on my wall needs to be registered with the state government.

It’s worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment

yeah thats what Kirk said and if he were still alive today he'd probably say the same thing. i didnt like the guy but he was pretty ideologically consistent.

and again, some psycho killing cops is not a reason to make me register my shotgun. the guy had a history of mental illness and of stalking the woman. in PA you cant get an RO without some sort of physical evidence that youve been abused (bruising, cuts, etc). an RO wont be issued if its threats or stalking behavior that isnt physical. its a shitty law that couldve saved the lady's dog and those 3 cops' lives.

You don’t lock your doors? Nobody’s getting in my house without my permission. I don’t need a gun for that. Are you Aboriginal? I buy my family’s food at the butcher and the market.
I don’t need locks on my doors, I’ve got guns

He had mental health issues. Had already gotten in trouble before for being crazy and was reported by his ex girlfriend. Now, he was stalking his current girlfriend and she called the cops on him. Was hiding in the cornfield across the way and opened fire on the cops who were looking for him.

This is not an issue of gun control, this is a mental health issue. Even in HS people knew there was something off with him. He was determined to hurt/kill people regardless of what tool was available to him.

That's terrible. I hope he is prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

maybe a little bit of both?
I mean should mentally ill people really get to own guns?

Pro gun and pro gun registering and licensing. The one thing the left over looks is that it will impact their beloved poors and blacks the most. If they can't muster the capabilities to get an ID for voting every 4 years they sure as hell won't be able to complete a licensing and registration process
