Social No Kings national protest 10/18 - the end of Trump and MAGA?

Well, i am not rich. At least i was smart enough to own my own home, might not be fancy, but it is mine. And no, its not a mobile home.

Now I feel bad because you've confirmed you're poor.

Hit me up if you have a GoFundMe.

Everybody keeps throwing the word fascism around as they're actively protesting on the street. The irony. In a real fascist country, they'd all be mowed down immediately.

This is what real fascism is like.

Somebody doesn't recognize authoritarian drift when its happening before their eyes. Smart people want to cut fascism off at the pass not wait til it's too late. Siri, what is the "boiling frog apologue" ?

You gotta be a little disappointed though, no?

This is some low energy shit. The whole performative anti-Trump stuff is kind of becoming a meme where old retired hippies gather around to feel youthful. It's pretty sad and pointless.
When it was groups of older folks outside Tesla dealerships, it was "domestic terrorists!!". When it's the largest single day protest in American history, it's "low energy".

Or maybe they just like going to the grocery store to browse.
That is true. I am very picky with produce. But that has more to do with not having very many options, unless i want to buy produce in bulk at a produce outlet meant for mainly local businesses. Yes its cheaper and fresher then my grocery stores, but i could never go through 5-10lbs of vegetables before they start to go bad.

Meet the young Americans who want a monarchy — but not ‘King Trump’

While millions of protesters took to the streets in fear for the future of the republic, a growing fringe says it is time for an absolute monarchy

“If I were alive at the time of the revolution, I would have supported the royalists and King George III,” said Zurlippe, the vice-chancellor of Monarchists of America.

The rise of monarchism among young Americans is consistent with a number of studies that suggest Gen Z is more suspicious of democracy than previous generations. Fewer than 1 per cent of the over-65s are in favour of an American monarchy. But 27 per cent of 18 to 29-year-olds in the USA would like to have a king or queen, according to a YouGov poll in 2023.

Aliens just flying by just having a LOL at the human species ; Strange fuckin' planet ZED-MAR!

Do you think these kind of protests will be lead to Trump using Palantir's surveillance and pre-crime systems in the major U.S. cities?
I'd imagine they're already being used. After Obamas white lie people shouldn't be so naive to think their government wont use their most advanced tech to spy on them.

This reminds me of when I rode my bike past all the people who stand on overpass' waving Palestine flags and realized they're all middle aged to old white people.

Yeah there's rarely many black people involved. Are they racist against the Palestinians or something? In my city in Wales those protests are a 50/50 split between Middle Eastern looking folks and white androgynous looking people.

I would guess most black people care more about other black people in our country, then they do about people in other countries. Doubt it has anything to do with their race.
