I would call best buy, some of them are doing a midnight launch and will have stock not allocated to pre-orders. Same with Target and walmart. Toy R Us might have stock as well.

That's the problem though, just as you said. We DON'T KNOW if it's just Zelda or a docked mode issue completely. Not a risk i'm willing to take for launch. First, the joycons de-sync randomly, and then performance issues on docked mode. I'll wait and see for a bit.

Joy con issues have been fixed with a day one patch.

I wouldn't worry about long term frame rate issues. Zelda on the Switch was a port from the Wii U version, so it wouldn't be fully optimized for the Switch, and understandably so. If a game made from the ground up on the Switch has framerate issues, that's on the developer themselves, not the system.

If it's a system issue that can be fixed with a firmware update.

Call your local gamestops and ask when you can line up for the extra consoles. Might be the same or offering from store to store but you can buy a console at 6pm at my GameStop. Obviously it's limited quantities and u will need to line up for it. My shop said one should line up as early as 3pm (a few hours from now). This is for both people who reserved and didn't reserve to get number and pay the entire order. When all have to return at midnight to pick up our order.

Depends where you live. Call all the local stores that sell it in your area and see if any good preordering now. Might get lucky. You could always buy online, but you will pay more than the listed price if by eBay.

Play-asia might have some.

I figured they'd just list the stores that will be open, like some places do. I didn't want to sit on the phone for fifteen minutes to find out but I did anyway. Mine will be open.

Now to keep my bitch ass up until midnight. Off to buy some cocaine.

Unfortunately my dumb ass preordered the Zelda special edition from Gamestop in January and had the shipping address as my work. I've emailed them twice in the last week asking if they could change it to my home address and I've gotten no response so now I can't take the day off tomorrow.

havent heard much bad about the system from people who have actually played it and not some poor haters who cant afford it. I kind of wish i preordered it now. Oh well I will grab it in the fall when its bundled or more games come out for it. Seems really cool though.

I'm at work just twitching and waiting to get out at 11pm so I can go pick mine up. I love Nintendo for being able to make me feel like a kid again. Haven't been this excited for a new console/game in a LONG time.

Awesome! In half an hour I'm getting out of work and heading straight to Gamestop to get in line. My local Best Buy is right across the street and if they're doing a midnight release I'm going to head there next to get my pro controller pre order.
