Health NIN quandary.

I've seen NIN four times. Find a way to go.

Their tour with Soundgarden a decade back was a highlight for me. All time concert.

I went to that concert from that tour in Virginia Beach. Husband took such an epic pic of Trent it's been my phone wallpaper ever since.

Jelly you saw him with Bowie, that would have been brilliant. His "last" tour in 2009 I saw him and Gary Numan who is one of his heroes showed up unexpectedly (to the audience) to do Cars. Which I fangirled into overdrive having them both on the same stage.

Needless to say it wasn't his last tour and I've seen him serveral times since.

Yeah. Great night. Would have been fall 1995.
Girl I was dating got tickets and invited me. We were 16.

Tremendous show. This was the Downward Spiral Tour.

Pretty Hate Machine was my favorite album of that era but I loved Spiral and Broken/fixed (I had the "Fixed" remix CD, which I got quite familiar with)

Place went NUTS for Wish. Hands down the most powerful instant mosh pit I have ever scene, that guitar riff hit and the lights went wild and bodies were flying everywhere

I was not familiar with Bowie back then, though the show was good, but we just made out thru the Bowie set. Good times.
She was a keeper. We got married in 2007. Currently on Cape Cod with our teenage daughters and our 2 golden doodles.

I believe this is the setlist from the show

"Sanctified"
"Piggy" (Nothing Can Stop Me Now)
"Burn"
"Closer To God"
"Wish"
"Gave Up"
"Down In It"
"Eraser" (Instrumental version)

Nine Inch Nails and David Bowie

"Subterraneans"
"Scary Monsters"
"Reptile"
"Hallo Spaceboy"
"Hurt"

No.

Epic drum solo during Piggy.

Madness for Wish.

The only song I was really hoping for was Something I Can Never Have. I really love that song, wifey does as well. Still do. I should work on that song again on piano myself, oddly tricky to play and sing for a fairly simple song,

But I understand why such a delicate song which is almost entirely just piano and vocals would be left off a show based on featuring a full band, with, as I recall, 2 guitarists, 2 keyboardists (Plus Trent occasionally picking up a guitar or having a keyboard rolled out to center stage for him)
And they did Hurt, which is the other "minimalist" track, and of course better suited to a stadium show with its heavy fuller parts of the arrangement

I can't watch, dammit. I will tomozzles.

I can remember going back to work in 2009 for his last tour (haha) and being pretty much pinned up against the wall by a colleague asking if he played Closer. I said no, but Gary Numan showed up and he said "who"?

This was my first NIN with Gary. Who I was a gigantic fan of since I was a very small child.

I used to play that song in an 80s cover band. Fun song.

I went to EBay to look for The Pleasure Principle on vinyl a bit ago and husband pulled it out because I bought it already.
Apparently I have a style of music, I was 4 when that was released.

I bought tickets for NIN for a September LA date. After my cats throwing up etc on the way to Vegas and having to come back home, I pretty much wrote it off seeing Trent again.

Found out during the week that the concert is the same day as his album release, so it's going to be fucking nuts.

I have a "wellness" check with the cats on the 16th, the gig is the 19th. I am so remote that without even thinking NIN that was the earliest vet appointment I could get.

Do y'all have these issues?
Did u go? I almost got a last minute ticket but timing didn’t work out

No! The cats went in on Tuesday and the gig was Thursday. I sold the tickets and didn't lose any money but Trent in LA on the Tron album release....I scrolled past every pic all day haha.

I've been a fan since the 90s, but i saw them once in 2013, but it was incredible. The light show was unbelievable.

If it's a case of cats living without us for a couple days with a heap of dried food down I'd be fine with that.

NIN is pretty special. In my top 2 bands to see along with Wardruna.

Hope all's well Cuffs.
