In the spirit of Ultron as the next villain in the Avengers, I thought I would try this head to head 1v1 battle on for size as maybe it is unique enough to pique some discussion.
Nimrod
I was originally going to do this battle as Bastion vs Ultron, however although Bastion has the tools and even ways of possibly defeating Ultron, I don't think in a head 2 head battle Bastion is actually as powerful as his "former" self Nimrod, who is the most powerful Sentinel from the future. Bastion/Nimrod/Master Mold is a really interesting and weird story however it has not seen even close to the mainstream love as Ultron, so bare with me.
Nimrod is truly unique as he is a Sentinel. Completely robotic, the most powerful one in fact, think T1000 ish. He is a cybernetic assassin who has a interesting story with some twists, however I think wasn't given the love needed to develop into a true force of a character. Still...
Powers: Shapeshifter, teleportation, time travel, insane strength (class 100), durability and regeneration. His regeneration is so powerful, that he almost cannot die as he can be blown into dust and will eventually piece back together (I would consider a loss though). His computer system is so advanced it makes Tony Stark's stuff look like mere lego pieces as he can determine the powers of any opponent and formulate a plan on how to defeat them and locate them. Nimrod's main weapon (or maybe secondary weapon to his computer interface) though is his energy blast along with Magneto level magnetic energy capable of manipulating objects and creating force fields. Nimrod also has the ability to control and command other Sentinals at his disposal.
Weakness: His only true ones, the ice and lightning elements.
Ultron
Now, Ultron on the other hand, is very similar to Nimrod in a lot of ways but with even more weapons at his disposal for fighting a varying amount of opponents in different ways, he is a programmed as a scientist with AI that has creative intelligence. He is a true super villain boss in that he can create and instill himself into his own Ultron Sentinel army. He has been recreated so many times that I guess he could be considered in similar fashion as Nimrod in that he will only come back.
Powers: 100% adamantium suit, able to remotely control other robots/androids (Possibly even the most powerful futuristic robot?), can rearrange his adamantium suit to another form via restructuring (Not true shapeshifter), superhuman strength, speed, reflexes and durability, Encephelo Ray can stun and mind control other beings, can convert electromagnetic radiation into electrical energy, and genius intellect able to process information and calculations at superhuman speed, a master strategist.
Weakness: Electricity, Scarlet Witch and the adamantium armor is not 100% impervious to extreme blows.
Who wins? How does the fight go down?
