NHL Regular Season Discussion: Sharks Pls

Hey, might wanna cover that Ovenchiken fella.

These blown leads are starting to rustle me. Better then last year, when they never ever had a lead, but still annoying.

Also, sweet Jeebus, JVR and Bozak are a dumpster fire in their own end.

What's the record for win streak again? 17?

This year's draft is sort of like 2014. Wrong year to tank, really. There'll probably be some good players in the 1st round, but there's a not insignificant chance that the best one isn't drafted first overall.

So glad I sat Andersen last night, I'm neck and neck for the yoffs in my League and that would have been a disaster.

There are a tonne of finns in this year's draft. I want the habs to take Urho Vaakanainen if he's available in the 2nd. I watched him play in Espoo as a 16 year old. He was matched up against Puljujärvi and Aho and did quite well against them even then. Very smart, smooth skater. The offense will come. He reminds me a bit of Markov.

That Vaakanainen is nothing compared to Kyrpävuori, however...

Man, I like this Grundstom kid. Plays with a lot of heart, and he's got some skill.

Can't wait for tonight, should be fun. Revenge games always are.

A whole nation, ready to rip a bunch of teenagers if they don't win a hockey game, as is tradition.

And at the Bell Center to boot. Here's to some spirited rioting, or a gold medal!

If you fucks ain't getting blackout drunk on beer tonight, you ain't Canadian.

I hope someone ends this in overtime. I hate when medals are decided by a shootout.

Games like that are why I love hockey. Amazing

That said everyone who had a hand in deciding an all time classic like that should end in shootout should be shot in the fucking head

That game should have gone until someone ended it on a legit goal. both teams deserved that

man that was a hell of a game but a gold medal hockey game should never have to be determined by a skills competition.

Only the fucking Europeans, would decide a championship in a team sport, should be decided in an individual skills competition.

man both teams went after it tonight. being a drunk canadian im kind of disappointed in end result, im more angry that it had to be decided by a shootout. neither team deserved that. what a bunch of crap. i hope they change it to continuous overtime for next year and beyond. let the players determine who wins the game by playing hockey. not a couple skaters and a goalie competing in a breakaway challenge while the other 20 players on the team sit helplessly looking on. if i want to see that kind of a side show, ill tune in to cbc and watch the nhl skills competition

fuck that noise. good game but thats no way to end it. my jimmies have been rustled.

Good lord, another gold medal loss to the Americans. Canadian dominance is permanently over at that level. Here's to a gold medal every few years or so.

I was watching the game at work with a couple coworkers on a shitty monitor and low res stream, but it was still tense as hell. I was wearing my Team USA Hockey shirt for the lulz, and was pretty ecstatic, but I couldn't help but feel terrible for that final Canadian shooter. Skating in and losing control of the puck like that, in that situation, I'd probably be rattled for years. It'd be like getting whiskey dick when the girl of your dreams is begging for it at a party.
