Social NHL player under fire for refusing to wear LGBTQ jersey

Shitty optics for the flyers but if the guy simply said nah ill come out for puck drop then big deal. Did he go on some homophobic tirade in the locker room ? He's the one sacrificing his warmup and was clearly willing to take the heat for his opinion .
This is becoming a slippery slope.

to say nothing of reggie leach

So this man made a principled choice to stay in the locker room during warm up based on his religion and personal beliefs and this is something people are upset about?
This fucking world keeps getting crazier and crazier

if your religion is so flimsy over a fkn jersey, your religion sucks

given that its an abrahamic one, chances are the leaders hes following have sucked more cocks then mary Magdalene

It's a slippery slope. You know one second you're wearing a rainbow jersey then you're snapping your boys with a towel in the steaming hot locker room celebrating after the game, things get a little intense so you have to tackle a teammate and you end up face to face on the ground with nothing but a thin towel separating your manhood from his. That's when you realize wearing that rainbow jersey has changed your life forever.

I am pretty sure that this was an actual Abercrombie commercial back in the day. except maybe it was with lacrosse players

both sides are the same when trying to cancel people from their jobs so we can drop it /s

Seems similar to the Idrissa Gueye thing over here. If you don't want to wear the shirt you shouldn't have to wear the shirt.

Then society is fucked. No soul, no mortality. What if they were asked to wear a swastika? Where do we draw the line? The gaystapo now decides what the line is. What's next?
False equivalency is false

It does have to do with the sport he is playing because his team, that he plays for, is supporting it.

It is not hard to just wear it whether you agree or disagree. Comes across pretty weak minded to make a big stink about it, frankly. Just wear it, play the game, get paid, and when you go home feel free to hate gay people.

Would you feel the same way if all the players were forced to wear a cross??
