He's going to have to be happy with bumping down in boxing rankings until he's winning fights if he's actually a serious boxer like some people say he is trying to. Zhang would be a drop from AJ. Sadly he won't sell much the lower he goes. But Zhang/Ngannou could be a co main.

Because Ngannou can want what he wants, but matchmakers aren't going to book him tougher competition until he can get a W. After getting destroyed he obviously needs a hard drop in competition under AJ.

On the MMA side there's pretty much just Nemkov and Bader in PFL. Without Wilder Ngannou is screwed.

I wonder if in 10 years from now, Ngannou leaving the UFC will be seen as a smart move.
