I hope he maxed his earning potential, but ultimately not my wallet/account so don't really GAF.
He got the belt, avenging his only real loss and then defended it once after a year. I'm just saying as a fan watching Ngannou/Jones potentially 2x and all the other contenders would be what I'd rather watch. His boxing matches were more exciting than I thought, but the results weren't.He cleaned the division before getting the belt and defended against a young undefeated up and comer.
Why the fuck would he stay with the UFC making peanuts with a cock suckin woman slapping boss in Dana, the bitch ass White? Made more in 1 fight of boxing than all of the ufc fights.
Yeah yeah yeah. All this hypotheticals. Ngannou also lost out on billions by not buying those lotto tickets either. What a dumbass.I don't think you quite understand this and are missing a big point. It's not about what he made in the UFC in the past, it's about what his contract offer was for the future in the UFC. What he made vs Overeem or Lewis is not relevant, you have to consider the current market value and offer Francis was getting for future fights in the UFC. That's what this whole thing is about.
You say he would stay in the UFC and make peanuts. Did you not read the article or pay attention to anything the last 2 years since he left? His contract offer in the UFC was 8 million + PPV, so would get 10-13 mill vs Jones. That's more than Tyson Fury fight. The pay in the UFC if kept winning would be on par with boxing.

Money and pay is discussed, analyzed, and compared in just about every sport and occupation. It is intricately tied to the level of competitors we can expect to see. Nothing weird about that. Not to this extent, and absolutely not concentrated on one specific person. Just as other sports aren't absolutely fixated on fucking "GOATS".
MMA fans are weirdos.
No bc it happenedFuck Dana for saying you need specific scenarios to cover Saudi trillionaires tossing millions of dollars at boxing superstars to fight Francis for fun instead of their ranked competitors.
Cause that wasn’t equally completely unique and unusual scenarios too right?
I would have preferred to see the Jones fight too, but it could also have been a complete matchmaking shitshow like we see now with Jones, Stipe and Aspinall. He got the belt, avenging his only real loss and then defended it once after a year. This reminds me of that interview from years ago when Dana was asked if he would be open to co-promoting with M1 for Fedor or something and he was like “M1? What’s M1 doing? Burning money. Do I want to be part of their burning money business? Fuck no.”UFC is a legitimate business that has investors shareholders and is trying to return a profit. The Saudis are just burning incredible amounts of money without any expectation of turning a profit. They have sunk billions into endeavors like LIV golf, soccer, and boxing that have no hope of ever turning a profit. Ngannou and many others have certainly benefited from that.
HW division is so cursed, even back since Randy had the belt. Something goes wrong every time. He'll Ngannou was injured for a year right after getting the belt.I would have preferred to see the Jones fight too, but it could also have been a complete matchmaking shitshow like we see now with Jones, Stipe and Aspinall.
That alleged offer imho was never 8million + PPV, i do agree that it was fighting Jones and Jones only, the rest of the UFC cant draw that much, Ngannou included of course, i believe it was to be around 8million pay (Ngannou´s own words, playing around the bushes, of course), all included, probably more depending on how well it does on PPV, but not a flat 8million purse guaranteed, thats not how the UFC pays, Dana always said he would had been the "highest paid HW in UFC history", 8 million is the most for every UFC fighter, ever, they dont pay in purse, they pay in PPV points.“He was offered a deal that basically paid four to five million as champion ... this was after the [Ciryl] Gane fight.” Nash said. “The final offer the UFC made was against Jon Jones. He would get $8 million plus pay-per-view ... so around, if you did a million buys, he’d make over ten million. If you did a million and a half, which was the projected amount that Jones vs. Ngannou would do, it was up to $13 million.”
This numbers sound a bit inflated, did he got PAID? Sure, in fact he got overpaid, every report for the Fury fight claims it did shit on PPV, but then again, Saudi are not in the boxing business to make money off it, they are promoting their country, spending a lot of it in the process, and the guys are boxing fans, they dont care.“He made twelve or thirteen million, around that, for [Tyson] Fury and fifteen, sixteen million, in that ballpark for Joshua,” Nash said. “You put those two together and he made about $28 million.”
People put so much stock into Francis for Fury looking terrible that some actually believed the AJ fight was worked. The specimens that surround us are incredible. But then they purposely made him lose to Joshua through nefarious means. Humiliation ritual?
