Between Tom and Francis they are going to make Jones quit the sport without fighting him.
Is he trying out for the track team now
I agree…Ngannou is probably 46 or so…still would wreck most everybody in the weak AF HW division.
Given his genetics, 1 month of gym and diet and he would be running for the Arnold ClassicLooks flacid.
Lock his account on Sherdog til he gets that body fat count down.
If true, it wouldn’t be the first time.
Cuba has produced some fighters that definitely aren’t their stated ages, but somehow remain competitive.
Luis Ortiz? He was easily in his mid 40s when he fought Deontay Wilder.
William Scull is easily 6 or 7 years older than he claims. And that’s being generous. If he turned out to be a decade older than he says, it wouldn’t surprise me.
I don’t remember the reason why athletes from third world countries do this, but articles have been written about the subject that are pretty interesting.
If Romero is even older than his birth certificate then Idk.. he needs to be captured and studiedPossibly, but he might be like a Romero, who's also rumored to be older than his missing birth certificate and continues to defy science.
That muscle mass has given way a little to some jelly.
He started MMA late in life, neck aside has an unremarkable injury history, stays in good shape but moves like he's in his 60s, still punches hard and can manage kicks below the waist but can't wrestle anymore, and the best that can be said about the past seven years of his career is that he beat Alex Polizzi. He's still a huge outlier in terms of being able to fight at all at his age, but he's a pretty ordinary outlier. Mostly, he's wanted to keep fighting so he's 1) stayed in fighting shape despite how much work that takes as you get older and 2) been a bit lucky with injuries. Some people just don't get tired of the grind. If Romero is even older than his birth certificate then Idk.. he needs to be captured and studied
yeah, Jones is not a natural HW and it shows
