Ngannou is officially done

I don't think he is cooked yet. He can still sign a fight but his time is running out. His time will be done when he loses outside of the UFC though.

He underestimated how hard it is for these boxers to get fights signed

Look at the nightmare that is usyk/fury right now

That's a fair point.

Especially if you want big money as the B side.

I'm just sad we won't see Jones - Ngannou, tbh.

Me too man! It’s heartbreaking so sad. This was one of the few current dream fights I wanted to see happen.

- the fact that his management is in talks with glory says it all basically. He's trying desperately to set up anything possible after he miscalculated his next career step. Seems and feels like a Bob Sapp farewell tour.

- Frank trusted a mentally unstable, overweight gypsy (no disrespect, I love Fury) to have the opportunity of his life but got played. Fury is for sure not interested in a fight with Ngannou otherwise it would be public already. Fury will fight Joyce next and then Usyk. Guaranteed.

- Wilders is not the money fight he was looking for. Ngannou Wilders would have maximum 50k ppv buys and I am sure not even the arabs are anymore interested in Wilders after he got cucked by Fury.

- Bellator or PFL are not able to afford him. He could have a contract where he's allowed to Box against some cab drivers but that's all.

What other options does he have? Paul Brothers?

His obviously never fighting the Paul brothers with the massive size difference.

It was always a risk Fury was just using him to drive up the price. Time will tell if get lucky there. That said I am pretty sure the UFC has paid francis enough to retire considering the flashy purchases he shows on on insta.

Tyson Fury is willing to do freak show events (remember his WWE stint?). With the politics around boxing, especially HW unification, I doubt we'll ever see Usyck/Fury unification. Both sides in contract disputes and trying to rake in the lion share of the revenue just prolongs the fight people want to see (MayPac). I guarantee it'll be easier for Fury/Ngannou to happen as opposed the unification as long as Francis plays ball. With sponsors/purse/PPV cut he can easily clear 8m+. Combine this with the freedom to take one-off deals in other promotions he can stand to make a considerable sum. Even if he gets TKOd his stock won't diminish for an MMA promotion to pick him up. He was the undefeated UFC HW champ. Many promoters want that lineage in their org.

I'm pretty sure Francis has been blowing his money, he said he's had to borrow money to live in the last two years.

He didn't get paid that much because he never signed a new contract when he became champ, he said he would've made $3.5m for the Stipe and Gane fights if he signed that new contract but he wanted to fight out his old contract and chase boxing mega money.

There's nothing more logical than their financials, and you guessing what they are without seeing them is hardly "logical."

This is basically every single one of you MFers, lol

You won't understand how business works.

You seen Glorys PPV buys and fighter payouts?

What Francis is asking is out of their league.

It's like an NFL player going to the CFL but still wanting his NFL salary.

Only way Frank comes back to UFC is if he bends the knee. He left as Champ as a fu to Dana. He kept playing games thinking he had Conor power he found out he didn't an was kicked in balls again when Fury backed out.

Now he's talking about fighting some kick boxer who probably pieces him up.

IfcFrank can get to his senses at least sign with Bellator where he can rule for 10 years Maki gs good money fighting bums n has been. Or bend the knee n fight Bones in a mega fight.

hes gonna fight somewhere with a 300k purse and say
i told u im a righteous man fighting for the rights of others
him not taking the 8m offer will haunt him all his life
i hope not

Maybe so, but hard to feel sorry for a guy wearing 6 figure watches and flashing his cash.

That is a choice Francis made with his manager. If they don't recoup that in the future then he has nobody but himself to blame.

Kinda reminds me of that NBA player that turned down a huge contract from lakers and ended up signing for much less for another team. I think was Schroder, had 84 million deal with lakers and ended up signing for 5.1 million with celts.
