Ngannou is NOT Derek Lewis

Ironically I'd argue that Lewis is the more technical striker but Ngannou has more speed and athleticism and uses that to his advantage.

I'm seeing more and more this sentiment that since Cyril clowned BB, he's gonna do the same to Ngannou. Where the fuck is that coming from?

Ngannou has significantly better technical striking than Lewis, and is far faster and more durable. I don't think we've even seen him rocked, and he crossed the cage in a heartbeat to take out Roz.

Gane is going to have to fight an absolutely perfect game for at least 3 rounds, but more likely 5 as ngannou has never been stopped.

As an aside to that, Cyril is an awesome kickboxer for a HW, but his defense is based on his footwork and reach. He keeps his hands low and doesn't move his head much, and that seems like a bad recipe against Ngannou.

All in all, cyril definitely has a solid chance at winning, but writing off Ngannou is absolute insanity.

I really feel exactly the same way Bro.

I'm hoping both show great heart and chins and we are privileged with a bloodbath... I don't really care who wins.

to end racism this 3 hands need to be same size and not one in front of each other, i see a lot of racism in this picture xd

Lewis is almost a custom made opponent for Gane. He’s plodding and only throws 1 strike at a time. Cyril stayed outside and took very few chances while picking BB apart. Francis has a brawler style and is explosive and can close the distance and apply pressure when he wants. In fact a lot of people might think that his weakness is he is too aggressive. It’s a completely different fight. Does anyone know how big the cage is going to be? I imagine it will be a big cage because the UFC would prefer Francis to lose.

Gane is way more technical than Ngannou, sure. So is Stipe, right? Ngannou looked way more collected and calculated against Stipe, technical or not, than he had prior to that fight. That strategy went pretty well as Stipe had nothing for him. This fight is gonna be more interesting than most people think, imo.

Stipe doesn't have the defense like Gane

Most people are picking Gane over francis because of Ganes defense

Naganu is a bigger POS than Lewis. <CanYouSeeMeNow>

Hoping Gane violently finishes Naganu the POS after a extensive 4.5 round beatdown.

Comparing 2 black men and no Woodley gif?

I am disappoint.

Stipe showed great head movement in the first fight and is a national golden gloves quarter finalist. Also he could switch things up by taking Ngannou down as he has an NCAA D1 wrestling background. Gane has none of that, he is a point fighting MT specialist, relies too little on head movement, has subpar takedown threat and his ground game looked okay'ish against guys that aren't elite on the ground.

Overeem has a better clinch than Gane and couldn't bully Ngannou. Stipe and Blaydes have better takedowns than Gane and couldn't take Ngannou down in the rematches and Blaydes has a better top game on the ground than Gane and couldn't keep Ngannou on bottom in their first fight. So what's left? A stand up fight. Gane knocking out Ngannou would be an absolute shock, it's not going to happen. So basically Gane has to outpoint Ngannou, who has superior power, chin, reach and punching speed, over 25 minutes and do that while lacking high level boxing head movement. I honestly can't believe the bookmakers as they are basically 50-50 at most places. My prediction is Ngannou by KO in round 1 or 2 at the latest.

Gane has better defensive stats and gets hit less than Stipe. Never seen Gane get cleanly.

He will jab and kick francis and bounce out the way when francis throws a bomb

i think Ngannou is just more accurate. he's not really that technical most of the time. he's just confident in his power, is pretty fast, and lets his hands go a lot early on. it's a great strategy because most HWs have shit defense.

Lewis on the other hand has a better ground game in my opinion and is more tactical in his setups. i don't see either being better than the other, just different.
i think lewis is a bit less durable and he wilts more often, but y'know that might just be a side effect of getting punched by heavyweights

It’s an insanely strange dynamic to think that Big Frank’s only Avenue to victory is literally his hands, additionally from what we can surmise this aspect is actually a one way street... either he catches Gane cleanly enough to make sleep him on the job, or he loses... period, bizarre

I haven’t seen people writing FN off but if they are you’re definitely right. What I’ve mostly seen is people deciding that Gane should be favored.

Francis is going to Bull Rush Gane in about 90 seconds and its going to be hilarious.
With Gane's reliance on his footwork over head movement and a proper guard, and Ngannou's ability to explode at an insane speed, I don't think this would be a shock.

Francis was rocked/staggered by Stipe immediately before he knocked him out.
He got hit clean, but him immediately ko'ing Stipe when he tried to push tells me he wasn't really rocked or even really staggered.

He got stopped/staggered for sure. Didn't do shit, really, but he definitely ate a clean shot that (momentarily) stopped him from advancing. Then he wins by death KO immediately after.
