I think there's an argument for a number of players to be mvp. the fact that Lmr got 49 of the first place votes was a joke. His season statistically for a mvp was mediocre.

Allen was a turnover machine for the early part of the season which was costing them games. Lmr was consistently good throughout.

7 INTs to 18 is a big enough difference to put one over the other.

This is because voters in any profession don't have a fucking brain. Players think wins and losses means best, which for teams it does. In the NBA Bill Russell won like 10 straight MVPs because the logic was the Celtics always won. Incredible reasoning, despite the fact the Celtics had the first CBA representative and the most stacked team of the era lol. In the NFL its the same. If you move over to the writers, they want something that is enjoyable to write about. They don't want to do actual work. They want easy narratives that drive views. Lmr winning is easy, and at the end of the day they can just say he won the most too. The average dipshit who watches ESPN for their sports takes don't want intricate and well thought out arguments. They want easy to digest content.
