So anyways I was restringing a few of my guitars and broke 4 strings. My Floyd Rose snapped a string at the bridge and there was a burr in the saddle so I had to fix it. The other 2 there were burrs in the tuning pegs themselves. One thing I hate about old vintage style pegs is the need for more slack when restringing. It may have been that but I never break strings. So I just beveled them slightly and everything is fine. Not a huge fan of that shit though. Wasted $16 on strings just to spend $10 on replacement singles is hella gay.

Before this I've broken like 3 strings total when re-stringing in my life.
