It’s funny. Drafting love was one of the most criticized moves ever. But something tells me that decision gave the packers a lot more longevity.

Personally, I never hated the Love pick. I just hated the rest of that 2020 draft. Fucking Ray Jay Dillon in the second round? Brutal.

Love was always going to be boom or bust, but having him sit behind Rodgers and hone his craft made it more likely he'd reach his ceiling.

Chiefs/Lions superbowl brother, sorry.

I think last year the lions had the benefit of being a surprise.

No one’s gonna be surprised this year
They got a lot better defensively, their secondary is gonna be legit now. Also if training camp so far is any indication Jamo is gonna breakout big this year. I really think they're gonna be a legit threat this season to win the NFC and maybe even the SB.

Yeah I think they have another strong year but don’t have them taking the bowl this year

Wait what the fuck they called it? I just got my bong ready

Tee Higgins or Deebo Samuel could have been another superbowl

They also could have gotten Patrick Queen when their defense desperately needed a linebacker.

Nicole could get some.

@Zebra Cheeks

Definitely still can criticize the timing of drafting a QB and most definitely the huge Rodgers extension that went nowhere and neither side ever really wanted IMO. Should have traded him that offseason and signed a vet if they thought Love needed another year sitting... Biggest advantage in the NFL is to have a good QB on a rookie deal, Love only had one year of a "cheap" deal as starter and that was completely offset by the Rodgers dead cap hit. You'd still rather have a good QB on a huge than none of course.

To be fair, Queen only really started to perform well last season. Tee Higgins was never on the radar, IIRC they were looking at Pittman Jr. and Gaypool trading up in R2, but couldn't strike a deal. Not sure if there was talk about Deebo at all.

Queen has been good since he got into the league fam, he was a DROY Candidate lol

Tee Higgins not being on the radar is a sin. IIRC they were trying to see if they could trade up for Ceedee Lamb, so I dont know why Tee Higgins wouldn't be on the radar. Hell, even with Aaron Jones they could have had Jonathan Taylor.

Game to game he was pretty bad for years, it was pretty wild that he got hype for some reason during his rookie season. It was a very often discussed topic in Packer land lol. Since back then they have certainly changed their outlook on the ILB position and overdrafted Quay and drafted Cooper high.

Packers draft according to their athletic profiles, especially in early rounds, that's why it's always relatively easy to circle in a few guys that are high on their radar. Tee Higgins performed terribly in athletic testing and especially in stuff that they value highly, plus never did a 3 Cone, they would have never, ever drafted him in R1 or early R2. You can find that wrong, but that's what they do lol.

The fact this team had 30 years of top 5 QB play and 2 superbowls doesn't surprise me with this stupid ass shit they do

Tee Higgins downside was he had small hands. Then they go a draft a guy with quentin johnston hands in Christian Watson, Idk how Tee Higgins isn't on their board but Davante Adams was, who was smaller lmao
