It is. Davis didnt have the money for a new stadium. The state wasnt going to pay for it with taxes and he cant afford it on his own. Unless he was willing to sell off ownership or share a stadium with another team he wasnt getting a stadium in CA.

They havent had a single event at the new stadium and the Raiders value has went up an estimated 20% in one year.

Even if the Raiders continue to be ass, that stadium will push them into a top 10 valued franchise just based on all the events that it will host.

Just don't see Vegas being better than LA at all. Value of the team probably could have doubled from that alone. But being the poorest owner I guess you take what you can get.

He couldnt afford to build in LA. Give up ownership, share a stadium, or get filthy rich for doing absolutely nothing in arguably the best “destination game” spot in the league?

Pretty easy decision imo.

Hes got a share in it with the $549 million in PSL sales. Over a billion dollars in partnerships. 20% value increase without ever holding a single event. $750 million from taxes.

He got a crown jewel for essentially zero dollars out of pocket.
