The 1st Round picks really got fucked in the new CBA. Teams can basically control these guys for 7 years (5th year option + franchise tags).

At least you would get a big pay day if you were tagged, even the option year gets you a good payday

Of all the positions the running back gets fucked over hard IMO. A RB career averages somewhere around 4 years.
 
I think the Bengals can control Green at 4/40 the next fours years if they want. Mike Wallace got 5/60.

I think the Texans can control Watt at either 3/22 or 4/37.

If green puts up numbers this year like his last 2 years he will get more than 10 per year. Mind you this is mike brown we are talking about so who knows. Worst case for green is a tad over 10 per year if the bengals use the option

No, if they actually offered him 10 they'd just be posturing. he's going to end up getting at least 12-13. And I don't think it's a good idea to argue about the use of personal pronouns in a sports talk thread. I obviously don't pay the Steelers linebackers, unless any of my jersey purchases trickled down.
 
Jacksonville had Mike Evans over Watkins on their board.

Last nights rankings on topp 100 players looked pretty accurate... Lavonte David will prolly be around 53 or 54
 
Too bad everyone else on that team belongs in the bottom 50.
 
I really don't get Aldon's plea. The gun charge seemed like one that would have been easy enough to fight and at least get a reduced charge if not completely dismissed. Then there was all that talk about the truth was going to come out through the legal system.
